Hello,

We will be on the Dream next month. In one room will be my wife and I. In the other room will be our daughter and mother in law. Can we just get 1 CD?

You can go to Shutters and arrange for pictures of your DD to be on your CD. Not sure if they will include the solo pics of your MIL as well since she is extended family.

My family is traveling in multiple staterooms. Can you link multiple staterooms under one photo package?

Your Get the Picture! disc will contain your photos that include at least one member of the purchasing stateroom, up to 20 people. We can accommodate families traveling in more than one stateroom where the occupants are the children 21 and under of the purchasing stateroom. If you meet this criteria, please order one photo package online and speak to a member of the Photo Gallery when you arrive onboard to have this arranged. We are not able to link accounts before you arrive onboard.

So that's clear as mud. "... up to 20 people..." but other stateroom(2) must have children under 21. Sounds like you need to have a LOT of kids in order for this to work.

Or I am totally confused:scratchin - yep I am sure that's it. :wave2:

Actually, I think the "up to 20" means if it's a large group shot, they'll put that picture on multiple CDs for multiple staterooms as long as at least 1 person from the stateroom is in the picture. It has nothing to do with the age of the children. Some large extended families travel together, or have family reunions or whatnot, and can easily number over 20 people in a picture.

As for your situation, lbgraves got it right. You can request that pictures of your DD be put to your stateroom CD. Stop by Shutters early in the cruise to have this arranged. However, if there are any pictures of just your MIL (nobody else), those may not appear on your CD because she's an adult in a separate stateroom. To avoid this, make sure any pictures of MIL include at least one of the rest of your party (you, DW or DD) and they'll all be on your CD.

Enjoy your cruise!

we're cruising next week... with stateroom #1 being me, DH & DD, and stateroom #2 being MIL, FIL & their other granddaughter. My plan is to give my DD's room key (she's 7 and won't need it except for getting on & off at CC) to MIL & FIL, and whenever they get a pic opportunity, have them hand DD's key to the Shutter's staff, in an effort to get all 6 of us onto a single CD. I hope it works!

Besides the KTTW swipe, Shutters uses facial recognition. Chances are it won't work.

Is "other granddaughter" your child? If so, chances are you will be able to include her in your CD. But your MIL & FIL, probably not. Unless at least one of you (DH, you, DD or other DD) is in the picture with them.

I wouldn't count on it. Shutters uses facial recognition to sort which pictures belong to which stateroom, regardless of which KTTW card is given. The only way to guarantee pictures from another stateroom on your CD is to have a member of your stateroom in the picture as well. I'd suggest that MIL & FIL be prepared to pony up for a second CD - if your plan works they'll save that money, but you don't want to be stuck without money for pictures if it doesn't.

Enjoy your cruise!

No, she's my SIL's kid.

It's worth a try anyway... right?

No, we tried that with friends using just our KTTW card, but none of their solo pictures ended up on our CD. The photo recognition software kicks the other people out of your photo. You will actually have more of an issue making sure all of your legitimate pictures are included on the CD. Be sure to check the kiosk a couple times a day for new pictures.

We were three cabins, parents, brother's family, and ours. Our pictures were put on one CD.

Not upset with you because it is your fault that the policy was broken, but when shutter's employees do that it only makes it more difficult for other employees to have to deal with people coming in and demanding that the same thing be done for them because they saw that someone on the DIS was allowed to do it. For every one person who is able to get away with this due to the Shutter's employee not sticking to the policy, there are hundreds turned away and told no that is not their policy.

We had 2 cabins - one for DH and me and our youngest and one with our two teens (although on the reservation DH had to be in the other cabin so there was an adult in each). There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to which cabin the Shutters photos ended up in, and we were not permitted to combine them either for a CD or for the package of 10 or 20 digital images. For the OP, I'd say try it, but be prepared for it not to work.

Laurie

oops, just saw it new in my feed this morning and didn't think to look at the date. Sorry.
