Just one quick question?
My wife washed my wallet containing my paper driving license for the second time. (she blames me. I dont do the washing!!)It was looking a bit soggy and would not be in a good state for the car rental desks. So I applied for a photo driving license which comes in two parts, the phot part like a credit card and a paper part. Here comes the question.
Do you need both parts at the car rental desk if not which part is required?
Sorry thats 2 questions and I only leave the photocard in my wallet now if you are thinking.

we took both parts last year but i can't remember for the life of me if they looked at it

i would take it just to be safe anyway

Once (with Dollar) I was asked for the paper part (which records any endorsements you have on your license) but generally just the card is sufficient. I normally take both parts with me just in case, then just carry the card in my wallet to use for ID when I'm in the US.

Regards

Rob

I'm pretty sure that you need to take both the card & the paper part with you as one part isn't valid without the other.

I always take both parts, although Dollar have never taken the paper part out of the sleeve when I have hired it's best to be safe than sorry, no great hardship in taking both parts is there?

Last time we went we booked through Budget and they asked for both parts
