Photo Assignment June '07: Color

Marge,
thanks for the comments!

it's the result of over a metre of rain in a very short time, with lots of wind. i am embarrassed to admit it, but it's our pool :headache: . due to the amount of paper bark gum leaves and seed pods in the pool, the water turned horribly green very quickly (the rain greatly lowered the chlorine content). i'm pleased to say, the day i took this photo i skimmed all of the leaves and seed pods and shocked the pool. it's ok to swim in, as long as you don't mind the 9 degree water... (about 48 degrees in old money)

i thought the contrast of the colourful leaves and the yucky pool with the white hose might make for a decent photo :)

Oblio - your unfortunate mess made for an awesome photograph!! And I think I'd pass on that swim - 48 degrees in any amount of "money" is very cold to my over 40 bones!!!LOL We go to the Adirondacks in up state NY for 3 weeks each summer, and the lake water up there just about kills me!! Some summers I only get in to my knees!!!LOL I don't know how my kids can stand it. I'll take my heated swimclub any time!!!;)

I admire your honesty. ;) Our pool looked just like that minus the leaves when we got back from WDW. We have a salt water pool and our cell generator is on the major fritz so it isn't producing any chlorine. We have a new one on order - but have to use actual chlorine in the mean time.

It IS a very colorful photo - interesting as well.:thumbsup2
