I was wondering, does anyone know a number I could call to check on a lost item? My daughter lost her travel size blankie while we were at AKL for a Boma ressie. She lost it back on 9/25. I know she lost it before we ate because of pictures. We just didn't notice it was missing till we were back at POR. I did fill out a yellow card at POR while we were there but never heard anything. I thought for sure someone would have turned it in. It's not like it was brand new or something someone would keep. I am really bummed because it was a favorite. I know it has to be sitting some where. I think maybe if I could call someone and inquire it may help. Who would I call? Would they keep it at AKL or send it elsewhere?

Try (407) 938-3000. This is listed as the main number for AKL. If that fails ask for the central lost & found number. This is located at TTC. Good luck! :sunny:

Thank you so much for the number! I will give it a try! It would be so wonderful to get it back. :::crossing my fingers and hoping for some pixie dust :::: :wizard:

Yes, you would need to get the number to Central Lost and Found. I have it at home (I'm at work right now) and can post it later if you haven't gotten through to them by then. We just returned and DS7 left a change of clothes at Restaurant Akershus at Epcot. It was a brand new Test Track Tshirt and jean shorts. I called the number once we realized it on the trip home. They said it hadn't been turned in at that point but they took down a description and our address and said they would mail it to us if they found it. Sure enough, it arrived in the mail the other day free of charge with a really nice letter. I will post the number later on tonight if you haven't posted that you spoke with someone already. Hope you get it back! :goodvibes

The same thing happened to us while we were leaving MK on the last day of vacation, i got on the monorail with my then 1 1/2 year old daughter and her blankie was nowhere. Fortunately I had brought a spare. Unfortunately my daughter knew it was a "fake". I am sorry to say that the lost and found did not have it. I told my daughter that Mickey must have needed it and he would send it back later on.
Good Luck!!! :confused3

I hope the blankie shows up and i just had to share our lost friend story. Six years ago we stayed a the Carribean with our two DS 6 and 4. My four year old left 'Teddy' in our room. He was heartbroken when he discovered him missing, so I called lost and found and within three days Teddy arrived packed with a brand new big brother bear and a wonderful letter from the housekeeper that found him. It was the pixie dust on our trip - so special. I hope your story turns out as wonderful as ours. :dog2:

send your sweet baby a note from her favorite character -- they will keep it safe and sound. they have very lonely girl in need, your daughter would be an ANGEL to let the child "borrow" it until the little girl is safe. Hopefully time will pass and all will be well, just my idea.

No luck yet, but I haven't got through to the AK lost and found. I called the AKL and they gave me a number for some where else but they closed at 4:30 so I left a detailed message but no one called me back today. :sad1: I did try the Central Lost and Found too but they said it would be at AK lost and found.

I will try again tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Hey if anyone is strolling around the lobby and animal viewing area at AKL glance around for a little pink and purple satin blankie! :goodvibes

Sorry you lost a blankie too! I have always made sure to have a couple blankies so they would hopefully not get totally attached to just one so I did have a spare too. I'm probably more sad than DD since it was her first blankie that she lost and one of her cuter, softer ones. Oh well, maybe Mickey needed another blankie!

Noticed your location is pittsburgh, PA. I am just north of Pittsburgh in Grove City. We will be staying offsite October 22 - 30th. If Blankie is found and you want me to go over to AKL and bring it home with us let me know. We will be flying into Pittsburgh Airport on the 30th about 1:15 Pm maybe we could meet down in baggage claim or something. Anyhow please let me know if you find it as I would be glad to bring it back home to Pittsburgh for your little girl.

Oh that is so sweet of you to offer! I would hate for you to spend one second of your vacation on my blankie though. Hopefully if they do find it (which I'm not holding out much hope on) they will mail it.

We are actually in Butler, so we are quite close to you! I usually list Pittsburgh because everyone knows where Pittsburgh is but not Butler,LOL. I hope you have a wonderful vacation and thanks again for being so sweet. I wish there were more people like you in the world. :flower3:

Well, it looks like no pixie dust for me.... :sad2: The nice gentleman from AKL just called me and went through a list of blankies found since 9/25 and no blankie matched my dd's (There were 39 of them!). I am soooo bummed. I really can't believe someone would not of turned it in or would have kept it. It was cute but you could tell it was loved by someone. I would never dream of keeping someone elses lovey for one of my kids. I just don't see what else could of happened to it. :confused3 I had picture before going into AKL with it in her stroller and then pics in the bar area before we ate at Boma and it wasn't in her stroller so I am positive it was lost there. Oh well, I will have to come to terms with it... and move on. Thanks for your help with the numbers everyone!

Good luck getting anything back. We stayed at CBR last December and had to leave at 3:30 am, DH left sweatpants there. I called them at 9am when I realized the problem and called the hotel, since check out is not til 11am I figured I was ok....they said they never found them....find that hard to believe.....if they just went up to the room and looked on the bed they would be right there.
