Try and stay calm, first of all lol. Try not to be nervous, but if you are it's okay. Smile (even if you're on the phone), speak from the heart, be prepared to answer situation questions, also be able to say why you want to do this. It's not bad, seriously. They ask a variety of things and they will go over your application and role checklist. Make sure you have AT LEAST 3 or 4 roles checked off. Check off more then that even, you may have a better chance of getting in that way. Hope that helps!!

also, when I had my interview they asked what my number one choice was and i told them it was character performer (which thank goodness I actually got!) then she proceeded to ask me how I would handle a child hitting me and not being able to speak. so basically, whatever your number one choice is, they might give you a worst case scenario so try to think about it before hand. Also, they could ask you if you would be interested in roles that you didn't check off but that are more common such as quick service foods and custodial. I think that they ask this so that if they like you but have no positions open for what you checked off, you still get something. good luck!

I was never asked anything about priorites or top choices of roles, so when they were asking me about transportation stuff (easy questions about if I would have a problem piloting a monorail 70' off the ground or driving anything at night, do I have a valid drivers license) I made sure to squeeze in how cool I thought it would be to pilot a monorail... I got transportation.

When they ask you why you want to do the CP or why you think they should choose you, it never hurts to mention that you like playing with kids (at least if that's the case).

The hardest question I had was "what would you look for if you were the one interviewing CP applicants?". At the time I managed a decent answer about being dedicated to putting on a good show and making sure guests have a good time by making magic, but later I thought of a better way to put it, involving the words "someone like me"

So I have a phone interview on Thursday night. What should I expect?

So I had my phone interview on Sunday (10-19-08) and I feel like it went pretty well. The lady that interviewed me was very nice and personable. We started off with making sure all of my information was correct and that I was able to do somethings like legally able to work in the US and things of that sort. She also wanted to know when I would want to be there. She said that I could put down Spring and if I wanted to extend I could do that while I am down there; we'll see about that! She also asked me if I had been to WDW recently and what my experience was like. I assumed that this was to figure out which park I liked best and which would be best for me to work in.
From there, she asked me about what roles I had check on the role check sheet. I told her I was interested in the following:

1. Hospitality
2. Attractions
3. Character Attendant
4. Full Service Food and Beverage.

She asked me questions mostly about Hospitality and Attractions. I didn't get any questions about Character Attendant (dang! I kinda wanted that one most.) She asked if I was interested at all in dong Quick Service Food and Beverage. I said no. I have worked in restaurants since I was 15 and one of the big reasons I want to work at Disney is that I want an experience that is totally unique and not do something that I could do anywhere. I wish I had specified which resort I wanted to be in. I guess if I get it, I will be in All-Star or Pop! lol....I hope this helps. I wanted to write this while it was still fresh in my mind. My girlfriend, who is a campus rep., sat in the room during my interview. She said I did great.I feel like I answered every question professionally, yet with a certain amount of personality. Hopefully, I will meet some of you this Spring!
