I made our PS for lunch at GF! Now I need to call the bakery and make arrangements for dessert, my daughter (9) will be so suprised when she finds out.

I wonder though, when we watched Food Network, she saw the miniature wedding cakes and went "Oh, I wish I could have one", she never did see a picture of the slipper (which I have, they look so yummy!).

My question: I have no idea which dessert to buy for her, she has seen the cake and loved it, but the slipper is so special too, which one should I order for her???

I would hate wasting $25 for a cake for her if she sees someone else getting the slipper and go: Mom I would have loved that one instead....There is a slight price difference too ;)

I'm definatley getting the mini cake for me, now is it enough to share with DH??? (don't know if I would want to share! :p ) But then again, we might all be so full that we won't be able to finish our dessert, which would be a disaster!!!

I'm so confused, it's a major decision..should I spend $75 on desserts??? YIKES!!!

Help!!!!!! :hyper:

Oops, wrong place to post, thought I was on Disney Restaurant thread....duh! :( Sorry!!!

Maybe some of you will still answer by question and dilemma, don't know if I can re-type this all ...

I'd go for the slipper, and there is no direct phone to the bakery, call the GF and they will connect you. I'd get the slippers, you can always take what you do'nt finish to go for laer.

Thank you!

I was leaning towards the slipper as it would in DD's eyes be "a cinderella! slipper", also we got PS for CRT 9/3 and the lunch at GF is 9/8..She will certainly love it !!!

I'm calling GF this morning to order desserts! :)

We are staying in the GF and I just called and ordered a chocolate mickey and strawberries to our room....I asked about the slipper and she said it's 14.00 or 14.99....I forget. You have to call the GF and ask for room service. Here is the number if you need it.... (407) 824 3000

THe lady I talked too was very friendly...she did mention that the slipper is something that has to be eatten right away....she said its chocolate filled with a whiped cream. she sais it doesn't last long do to the cream...

I can't wait to see the mickey! YUMMY!!!!:hyper:

Mostyn17 - do you mind if I ask how much the Mickey and strawberries (those are the little tuxedo ones, right?) cost? I want to order them for our room, too.

We are going in September. Should I order them now?

Harambe...there are 2 different ones. There is a regular which is $55.00 and then there is a deluxe which is $85.00 The only difference is that there is a sugar spun background on the deluxe. I ordered the deluxe. I have seen pictures of them and they are amazing.

Are you staying at the GF? If not, all you do is call the hotel you are staying at and ask for room service....and they will take care of you. I'm not sure if it's offered in all the resorts....I woulden't think that this would be avaliable in the value resorts or moderates......BUT I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE! :o lol

Oooo and before I forget.....yes its the little tuxedo's ;) The lady told me it was a white chocolate mickey with some milk chocolate trimming. I anxious to see it. :hyper:

Oh and yes, I would order it now so that way it's one less thing to worry about. You have the option to pay for it, or charge it to your room.

Hope this helps :)

Have a nice time,
Travis

How far in advance can I order???? My trip is still 7 weeks away but I would like to get all the little details planned and ready. DO you think it's too early???? I want to make sure they have enough time. I'd rather be early than sorry!:teeth:

I say go ahead and order it. Our trip is still a little over 4 weeks away. I told her that I didn't have my room number or the building I was in. She said it was ok, she just took my name (which was in the reservation for the room) and ask if I wanted to charge it to the room. Simple as that. :) The lady I talked too was very helpful.

Let me know how you make out :)

Travis

Thanks! I'm gonna go ahead and call. I'll report back any additonal info I find.:wave2:

Just a heads up to everyone , I went ahead and called the Wilderness Lodge and they transfered me to room service. I wanted the main mouse dessert delivered to my room for after our fireworks cruise. The women i spoke with did not know what I was talking about but wrote down a description and then went and spoke to the manager and chef. She told me that they do not make the mickey but they will order it and pick it up from the other hotel for me!!! They will then add their tuxedo strawberries and a card. She didn't give me a total price but I didn't mind cause I already knew. She did take a credit card number but my card was not charged at the time. It was a great experience and they were very helpful!!! I also called the GF and got transfered all around and then finally left a message. They did not call me back within an hour so I just called back. the person at the front said there was no extension for the bakery so I asked to be transfered to catering services. The phone rang and rang and there was no message this time. Who knows. If they don't call I will just call back tomorrow.
