Phone CM/Reservation Question

So I decided to tinker with my reservation for early November... couldn't leave well enough alone at AS Music and wanted to try a Mod. The mod for the Food and Wine Half Marathon is CBR so I upgraded to CBR. I looked before I called and they had no availablility for FD but I figured why not try. The CM I talked to called "Guest Services." This mysterious department was able to get me upgraded even though I don't think they had any more FD rooms at CBR. Right before I got off the phone the CM asked why I upgraded and I told him for bigger beds... this is where I was informed of a major/incorrect assumption... CBR doesn't have 2 queen beds, they still have 2 full beds. I waited 20 minutes or so and called back to ask for a King. They don't have any. I've been stalking Disney with my every free moment to call to ask for a King but no luck, it's on my reservation as a request but I've read it won't help. Also added a request for Jamaica 46 so I can be close to the main area and a good bus stop. Does anyone know how to get to this mysterious "Guest Services" that was able to get me the room at CBR so maybe I can beg for a King room?

You could see if they have availability in a preferred room. Since there's no "king bed/preferred" category, but there are preferred rooms with king beds, a king bed is still considered a request in preferred rooms at CBR.

Otherwise, go online and see if there is ANY availability in king bed rooms at CBR for your dates. If there's an unbooked king bed room available for your trip, then you could get "upgraded."
Also check the discount-free availability in preferred. Even if you can't book it at a discount, if it's available without one, you could still get upgraded into a preferred room with a king bed. The chances are low, but it is a possibility.

Otherwise, I'm sorry you weren't aware that CBR is the only moderate still with double beds! I hope you find a solution that works for you.
At the very least, the rooms at CBR are much larger than those at the Values. My CBR room actually felt bigger than my room at AKL! I know that doesn't give you more sleeping space, but it does give you more elbow room.

I called the WDW IRUN number to try and they do have King beds but no FD so It would cost a little over $400 more. No where near worth it. I'm hoping maybe they will release those rooms when it gets closer. I'm also going to check at 45 days out and 45 - 2 weeks to see if people that back out/don't pay give up the room. I'm also probably going to check every day between now and November 9th just for good measure. Any other tips?

Unfortunately, if someone with a free dining room cancels, the room does not go back into the pool of discounted rooms. It goes into regular inventory.
