phone cards

I know I have read of people giving the international phone cards as tips to people on the ship. But, has anyone tried to use one of those phone cards at the pay phones that are usually available where you go into the ports. Thanks

The CMs know where all the phones and internet connections are in port. Just ask them...they'll be happy to direct you to the "cheap" places.
As to phone cards for tips...most people have cells now, so phone cards are not a great addition to cash tips.

Thanks Kcashner. I hadn't even thought of asking one of the cms. I just thought it might be an option for calling at a much cheaper rate than doing so onboard the ship.
