Karen & Nicole you kill me.... I always have to stop and think about how to spell CARAMEL...stupid A!

And for the record I believe you did not like a couple of the coconut ones or lemons ones I posted...

Thank goodness we narrowed this cupcake crawl down to a couple of resorts...and getting our cupcake fills while we are actually in parks on our own for the ones we want to try there...which are not a lot.

I am still waiting for the BOOZE research. Sugar high needs a buzz to go with it...remember we are trying to numb the pain of running!

Cupcake Friday (As if just being Friday was not sweet enough) Dulce de Leche Contemporary - Contempo Cafe We have explored the cupcakes of MK, GF, and POLY…time to ride that monorail loop over to the Contemporary Resort for another treasure trove of cupcakes to share and drool over until we can have the real thing… Dulce de Leche http://s127.photobucket.com/user/mo...-ViaNap-Illum-Booths-463_zpsc076c11b.jpg.html This cupcake is a vanilla cupcake piled high with sweet creamy caramel frosting...again not the buttery, lard-y frosting that you would expect but lighter and creamier. The frosting layer goes all the way through the cupcake-even under the actual filling. Maybe to keep the cupcake from getting soggy?! But this is a Dulce de Leche cake, so it is supposed to be "wet." I did find a couple reviews on the cupcake... "Overall, the cupcake was good, but doesn’t top my list. The taste was sweet and a bit two-dimensional; it was more “store-bought cupcake” when I wanted spectacular." "This is the best cupcake I have ever had!!!! We got one of these with a remaining snack credit on our last day. We shared it with our kids on the way home in the van — I do not recommend eating it in the vehicle! It was a pure slice of heaven for all of us. It was huge and the four us split it without going in to a sugar coma!! On our next trip, we are already planning on getting lots of these to have during our trip!" My thoughts...while I like the sound of this cupcake, I am wondering if it will be too much caramel for me. I love Dulce de Leche cakes, though... Your thoughts????

I love dulce de leche, so I'd be in for that! We live in an area with a large Hispanic population...so I get spoiled on desserts (and food!!) from friends! I don't know if this will compare to my neighbor's dulce cake, but I have no problem doing the research to find out!!

Editing to add: Is there a tres leche cupcake anywhere in WDW? I'm going to have to google that. I think I'm going to have to go to the bakery now!!

tres leches would be yummy but I don't see how they could make it authentic - hard to do the milk soak and the whipped cream topping. I'd be happy to search with you - so so good!

Well..ahem.. I also have spell check and still managed to spell it wrong.

Of course it's CAR-MEL. Do people really put an -A- in there when they pronounce it? No one I know does... Maybe CAR-MEL is a Midwest thing..like pop? Now I'm curious.

Nothing says good times like going out for your run at 6:30 Sat morning and your playlist somehow is on shuffle so you have to forward through your cool down songs at the beginning of your run. Not to mention, the C25K ap you use to run/walk isn't sending you notifications so there was a lot more walking then running! One time I was very humorously (at least I'm sure it looked funny if you were watching me) tried to put my iPhone back in my armband while wearing it and jogging. But at least it's done!

My DH isn't a big fan of WDW. I think he would probably like it more in cooler temps than June, and definitely less crowded conditions. He is gone a lot in the winter time and a weekend for us would be nice!

Since PHM weekend is so big, all WDW hotels are host hotels...so, all the Value, Moderate & Deluxe are going to provide transportation for the weekend (races & expo).

Oh my this is going to be so hard trying to fit this cupcake extravaganza in!! THis Dulche de Leche cupcake looks so yummy!! I think I would probably like to share this one but don't know if I want one on my own....

Me me me!!! I usually use it for my corral placement however I don't know how this time I will fair. I'm still slowly recovering from a psoas/sciatic injury. But never the less it's the most fun I have racing beside the Princess!!

Hey cupcakes...I am going to be AWOL for about a week. Headed to our cabin for the 4th of July (Internet is hit or miss)...head home 5th to wash and repack. Then Sunday dropping ds#1 off at band camp and then taking dd to Omaha, NE for a college visit at Creighton! whew..lots if road time!

Good luck to everyone running races this week! Run hard and celebrate the finish line!
