That is funny because when I woke up this morning I was thinking TGIF!!!
I am doing much better today, I still don't have all my energy back, but I am feeling pretty good. I am really looking forward to a 3 day weekend with my DH2B! We have to get some more packing done, but other than that, we are just going to have a lazy weekend. I do want to go to Barnes and Noble since I have a $40 gift card there. I just can't seem to find any books lately. Any recommendations???
So far today I haven't eaten, but I am starting to feel hungry so I think I will have some oatmeal soon. I made baked ziti with chicken last night. I used whole wheat pasta, low fat mozzarella and marinara without high fructose corn syrup. I wanted to make quesadillas with black beans tonite, but DH2B is tired of black beans already. I love them and could eat them at every meal!!
I called my mom yesterday to try and convince her and my dad to switch from Atkins to Abs diet. My dad is one of those people that cheats on his diet all the time and I think that he needs a better plan. Atkins really doesn;t allow for much cheating. Right now he eats eggs and bacon for breakfast, sausage and cheese for lunch and then steak and more steak for dinner. That wouldn't be bad except that he will cheat and sneak a bag of chips or french fries. Well that just made his entire day full of fat and unbeneficiary according to the atkins plan. I was thinking if he switched to Abs where you basically make healthy choices all day, he would be much better off. If you cheat at Abs it doesn't stop Ketosis and send you into a "tizzy," you just have to exercise a little extra or make an even healthier choice at the next meal.
well, I am getting hungry so I need to go have my oatmeal now!
Oh yeah, one last thought... I just read that you aren't supposed to drink 8 glasses of water today. You are just supposed to drink when you are thirsty. Evidently there is no research to validate drinking that much water and it can actually harm you instead of help you. I found this info ion the Today Show website if anyone wanted to follow up on it.
