We always fly SWA out of BWI. Yesterday I found flights out of PHL $220 total cheaper for our December cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale, so of course I booked. Now I am wondering where to park, our only experience of flying out of PHL was a drop off, and that is not possible now. I will kepp watching the BWI flights, and could change, but for now I need info about PHI parking. It is a 12:05 pm flight so we do not need to stay overnight. Also both airports are the same distance, so that is not a factor. Thank-you.

Not sure about parking deals, but if you're talking about Philadelphia's airport, the code is PHL, not PHI. Might help avoid confusion down the line.

You can check for onsite airport parking at http://www.phl.org/directions.html

I have used an offsite lot that I booked thru airportparkingreservations.com. The lot is Winner Airport Parking. The price is about the same as the economy lot onsite at the airport. It was very convenient as I was traveling alone with my kids. I paid $10 extra to be able to leave directly from the airport rather than having to ride back to the lot. I have parked in the economy lot, and it can involve a lot of waiting.

Here is a previous thread with parking alternatives at PHL

I agree with above - if you park onsite at PHL, you have to wait for the bus to come pick you up, drag all your luggage on the bus, wait until it stops at your terminal. When you park offsite, they take care of your luggage and drop you off right in front of your terminal - it was much easier. There are lots of offsite parking places around the airport. We used Ampco and were very happy with them. Good luck!

Parking onsite at PHL is seriously expensive.

You are much better off going off-site and there are several parking lots which are within very close range of the airport. Here are a few of them -

- Colonial Park and Drive - about 2 miles from airport
- Winner Airport Parking -
- Wally Park - closest to the airport; fairly new organization; can't beat the location, though - we have not tried them, so I cannot comment on service

- AvisStar parking - across the street from Colonial parking

I'd recommend Goggling the sites and seeing what rates you can find. I guarantee they will be less expensive than the airport!

We always park at the Ramada which is in Chester/Ridley Park. It is very convenient if you are coming from the south (we are in Delaware). I am not sure how much it is, but I am pretty sure it is less than $ 10 a day. My husband gets a discount through Boeing which makes it even cheaper.

We always park in the short term parking garage. It is 17 dollars a day but well worth the fact that you park it yourself and have a two minute walk from garage D or E to terminal D or E. We always fly SW. Some may think 17 dollars is alot. But even 170 dollars for 10 days is fine with me to know that my car will be waiting in a garage right outside the terminal doors;)
