I had forgotten to mention at 50's Prime Time, our meal came to $65.46. Also, that evening at McDonalds was $19.04.
On our 5th day, we got to sleep in! Well, the kids wouldn't call it that because we got up at 7:30. But that was better that 5:30, right? This was the day for our Character Breakfast at Crystal Palace. This was one of our most expensive meals, but it was our Flex Feature, so it was already paid for. It was around $76.00! The buffet was great. Some interesting things I had never tried before. For example, I had read about the breakfast lasagna, that I assumed contained eggs and stuff, but it wasn't. It was kind of like bread pudding with peaches and bananas and I think apple. Very good stuff! We got pics of all of us with all of the characters. Funny, Tigger and Eeyore came to me first! Eeyore is my daughter's favorite now. Sorry Pooh, but you've just been shoved aside! This was lots of fun!
After our breakfast, we decided to just stay for a while since we had pretty much seen everything we wanted to the day before. We saw Peter Pan's Flight, we loved this! Winnie the Pooh was cute. We did Big Thunder Mountain again.
After our daily nap, we promised the kids we'd take them to Disney Quest, so we finally got to go on the Monorail(yeah!) and changed to a bus at the TTC. This place is kinda cool too! Anyway, at Disney Quest it was real crowded as I expected, so we only did Virtual Jungle Cruise and the Pirate thing. Really neat! The kids played a few video games, then we left for Epcot. This would be my last chance possible to catch Illuminations and see a little bit more of the countries.
I still didn't get to see as much as I wanted, because I knew the kids were bored with this. It also started to drizzle some again and I got worried that the show would be cancelled.
Got a beer, Tennant's Lager,($6.95!) at Rose and Crown and drank it while watching British Invasion. Stopped in Germany at Sommerfest for son to get a sandwich, lost receipt, think it was about $7. Got a seat on a rock wall between Norway and Mexico and watched Tapestry of Nations. Great parade!
Went to Nine Dragons after parade. Never expected to eat here! But my daughter wanted Chinese food and my husband and I were fine with that! It was quite expensive for what you got, but very elegant. 3 General Tso's and 3 drinks came to $59.47.
After dinner, got a spot for Illuminations. Weather was looking good. Got the spot I had already picked out on our first day, on the rail right next to the Cantina in Mexico! While waiting, my husband and son held the spot while daughter and me went to ride Maelstrom. It had been down before for fastpass. This was a fun ride.
Saw ToN again while waiting, and it was even more beautiful with all the lights! Finally...what I had been waiting for...Illuminations! What can I say about Illuminations? I teared up at the end. The music is just beautiful! The lady next to me was crying too!
As we slowly walked out, we said our good-byes to Epcot. We knew this would be the last we saw of it. ( For now)
