Cindy - Glad your chest is feeling better....
I dunno, just sounds funny to say. Seriously though, happy you seem to be healing so quickly.
Nice job on the 8
. Um, save me & DS a spot next to you while you're wandering around AK...this new clue leaves me clueless...again
.
Sara - Sorry you can't make the PDR, hope all's well. RU going to get the rain up there, too?
Colleen - Must be raining pretty hard there by now. RU close to the shore or inland? Should I already know that? Thanks for sending the remnants up here...not sure who Hurricane Dike is though
. Sorry your boy's having trouble, that sucks. Spencer goes to a private school, he's in 8th grade now. He went to public schools thru 5th, then I sent him here, to Roadside Academy. Next year he'll go back to public h.s. I just felt between 6-8 grades was the right time for him to be challenged. Not that he's a wizkid or anything, but the grammar ps system here is a joke. He breezed thru it with nary a nights worth of studying. It's a totally different story @ this school. It's great 'cause there are only 7 kids in the 8th grade! Financially, though, it can be a burden. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to him going back to the pschools next year. Any decent choices for private schools near you?
Yeah, 12 on tap for tomorrow in the hurricane....we'll see

(does that sound weird?)!
I'm kind of feeling blessed that I don't "have" to do a LR this weekend if the weather's bad. However, since I'm traveling most of next week I would be wise to get a good LR in on Sat or Sun
. Is packing considered cross training
.
I'll do Philly then take a big old break. I like 1/2s, but fulls are way too much training & stuff.
to tae kwon do.
I had 7 miles on the schedule for today and 17 for tomorrow
. Since I had three already done, I went out to finish the balance of the miles. I wound up running 6 instead of 4. I figured that I would just turn my 17 for tomorrow into a 15 which sounds a bit nicer and friendlier than 17. 90% of my run outside was in moderate rain and in some areas sustained winds. However, it was a warm rain. Unfortunately, it was hot and 100% humid. The air was like a wet wool blanket draped over my lungs.
We will see what happens tomorrow with the old bod?!?
WTG. We all know how I'd've dealt with that
.
Seriously, great effort; your training log posts motivate me.
I know you had to dress like the Gorton's Fisherman a lot of the time, but it really sounded like you and the family had a great time. Hi Kathy!
You seem to be in a groove with increasing the walking mileage and mixing in the XT/other exercise.
Please take it easy on the knee to increase your changes for a good race experience on the 20th! Congrats to your Eagles
