Jodi - Awesome job on the 10 miles
Don't even sweat the CT skipping. My Chi running book came today so I am reading it.
Colleen - Yeah for the yoga class
. Yoga is really, really good for you both physically and mentally so I truly hope you enjoy it. Are you sore today? I am SO sore from my yoga XT yesterday
.
LR report for you
. I am not thrilled but not too depressed either. I got in 8 miles and my splits were as follows: 10:08, 9:29, 9:47, 9:39, 9:56, 11:58 (had to eat some Mickey Mouse Gummies from Goofy's Candy Co), 10:01, 9:54. So the lesson learned is my fitness is still there and I just need to heal the darn injury. Even if I don't run for the next two weeks I am confident I can do this. I need to rest which is a hard thing for me. I am going to see the ortho on 10/19 to make sure I am okay to do this thing.
I hope everyone else has inspiring LR's today

RELAX!
Aren't you supposed to be injured or something?
. I'm also very glad you ran into your mom's friend, the more advice & opinions you can get about this thing, the better. I'm eager to see what the MRI brings.
?
. Really though, congrats on the 1st place and plaque. That's awesome. Also great that you could get a little more "expert" advice. I strongly suspect that the correct answer will probably a little combination of all you've received so far.
I have an all over body pain, like I just ran 10 hard miles. It is really amazing how much conditioning I have lost over the last month. My quads hurt, my hamstrings hurt, my back and neck hurt. I just hurt, all this for a lousy 5K. Well I did get a t-shirt, mug and a nice plaque!
and DD9
picked me up at the airport which was great. I got a good run in when I was at DC. My meetings were over Friday at 1:00pm and my flight didn't leave until 8:45pm. So I went back to the hotel and used the pool changing room to put on my running clothes. My hotel was right by the Rosslyn metro station, and I was in walking distance to the Marine Corps Iwo Jima Memorial. So I went to the Iwo Jima statue and started my run there. Wow, that statue is impressive.
I so hope I will have that feeling again. Same kind of feeling when you pick up your race packet or pin that bib on your running shirt before a race!
I will keep plugging away at the elliptical, swogging and cycling until I get the results back from my MRI on Thursday. My Disney training plan had me running 10 miles this past weekend and 12 next weekend. I really don't know if I will even be able to get myself ready for Disney.
I love that you've got the whole family going, although I must caution you about all that extra running, nice day or not
!!

He flies CLT to Detroit, Detroit to Toyko and Toyko to Beijing. After he gets to Beijing, I think it is a 3 hour drive to get to his destination. The company sends his business class, so I guess it could be A LOT worse.
