Look at you ladies chatting it up!
Colleen - I'm really liking your positive attitude about everything. I can't say that I'd have the same outlook to be honest with you.
That would be great if you could come up anyway. All the benefits of the race weekend without any of that silly running! I know we would all love to see you.
Chester - WTG on the 5 lbs. I'm still super hungry and eating (or wanting to eat) like a madman most of the time. Luckily, I seem to be staying about even, weight-wise.
Jodi - I'm more of a rental care kind of guy but one option (that I really have no actual knowledge of) might be a shuttle from BWI to National. There is a Metro stop at National. I'm not sure if your hotel near a Metro stop or how much luggage you'd have to schlep around. Same issues would apply to the MARC rail.
I'm even more of a minimalist than Sara. Shoes, socks, shorts, shirt, race bib, Garmin. That's it. I may have to bite the bullet and wear a small little pack for a cell phone since DW and DD11 are coming to cheer and it may make it easier finding them at the end.
Sara - Good job on the run. Lucky you on trip to Orlando. Hope you can sneak away. What's your plan for fun going solo? I'd probably just head over to Epcot and eat myself into oblivion!
Dave - Still on the road?
I got 8.5 miles in this morning. It was so cool outside that I wore a long-sleeve shirt. Not to complain, but there was also a 20 mph wind. I forgot about the joys of wind

.
Oh, and I also got the new Garmin all squared away. Not only does it beep and record at every mile, it also displays that mile's pace in a small window in the middle for a few seconds. I didn't do anything different programming it but our other 2 never did that. Does anyone elses do that?
