Howard - Good to hear the foot is doing well.

Sara - Sorry the back is not improving. Take it easy on the ride down.

Cindy - I'm planning on pretty much the same garb Sunday as I wore for the National Marathon, with the exception of tights instead of shorts.

As for Saturday plans: We are going to do some of the historic sites with the kids (try to make it at least a little educational). We have tickets for Independence Hall for 11:00. We're also going to see the Liberty Bell and try for Betsy Ross House. I'm not sure where that is going to put us, time wise. We may end up just breezing through the expo to pick up the mandatory stuff.

Too much to do and too little time.

Greetings!

Howard - SO happy to hear that the foot isn't giving you too much trouble today, but will pray for the freezing of your parts on Sunday to stave off any potential pain that could be lurking ;) .

Cam - Glad you like the stuff...of course mom/Colleen can take all of the credit for tackling that little "quest for a gift" project! See you Saturday!

Mike - Wish we were getting in earlier, Bruce is already complaining that he won't get to see any historical stuff (history-bot that he is). We'll count you out & see you @ the lasagna-feeding-frenzy!

Cindy - I don't know about the rest of these weirdos, but this one will meet you & Matt in the lobby @ 1. I still have your cell, so I'll touch base if we're gonna be late or something :confused3 . SO happy Hercules is on the mend! Phew!

Lou - I'll have lightning in my belly trying to, uh, make it's way out for sure!:scared1: No worries, you'll be ahead of me anyway! Any jing find its way into your pockets in AC??????

Colleen - That RW link you posted is confusing & hurts my brain :headache: , but looks very cool! New glove mitten things @ the ready??

Sara - Bummer about the back. I suggest sticking one of those heat things on your back for the ride down, maybe it'll keep it loose? Sounds like you scored big @ Dick's :rolleyes1, ahem.

Steve - Still sad you won't be there :sad1: .

Chester - So, will it be the football game or the marathon?;)

Jen - Looking forward to meeting you in a few days!

Dave - Did you start driving down already?

I'll be stopping by the Goodwill on the way home tonight to buy some layers to shed @ the beginning of the race. Yeah, I have old carp @ home, but I get so attached to my clothes that I know I wouldn't be able to drop it on the ground & just leave it there...I'm such a goober!

Lou: what time are you planning on going to the expo tomorrow? We are likely going around lunchtime to pick up our stuff and check it out.

Any other people for a Firday expo trip?

Howard: great news on your foot, the question is how did your mashed toe feel?

:cool1:

I still have your cell too.

Don't blame Colleen for huring your brain - it was me that posted that link. I set it for me with "maximum fade" at the end:lmao:

I think I may wear an old fuzzy, fleece bathrobe to the start that I've been meaing to take to Goodwill. Feel free to mock.

Oh, it was YOU who posted that, now that makes more sense!

Um, are you really gonna wear that old bathrobe to the start? That would be SO AWESOME! The race directors will think you're homeless & try & to shoo you away! Can I walk with you??:yay: :yay:

WE WILL DISCUSS THIS FURTHER AT DINNER SATURDAY!

i mean really, how fun would that be?

I'm here, but crazy busy at work. I can't get away until Friday around 5pm. So I'll be driving then. I'm lurking though...

Howard: great news on your foot, the question is how did your mashed toe feel?

Jen~ The "Mashed" toe feels fine. It never really hurt, it just jammed enough to cut the underlying skin and blood-let. This is a pretty common occurrance, however I do use bandaids to reduce this issue on long runs/races. I didn't do it for my 6 miler. :headache:

My PF issue feels fine today, I did take the med this morning which is definitely still helping it. I hope to feel like this up to and during the run on Sunday.

Not sure about the run-wear I will select for Sunday. Probably commando ;) with tights and a LS shirt and throw-away sweatshirt for pre-race and running gloves. I've decided not to carry a G2 bottle, just to take Gu, bars or blocs with me along the course. I'll hit whatever water stops there are along the way as needed. I am contemplating as to if I should go Ipod-less or to carry and risk being disqualified if I come in first.

More later... enjoy the madness!

Marathon? What marathon? We're talking about the regional playoffs here.

Thanks Cindy. I was just getting ready to put together my own spreadsheet so Tracy would have an idea of places to Scream Team from and when to be there.

For the expo on Saturday, I don’t think we’ll get into Philly as early as Howard, Cam, Sara, and Colleen (and, if I recall, Jodi won’t be there that early either). Does the Embassy Suites crew want to meet in the hotel lobby to walk over to the expo around 1:00?
Sound like a good idea to me. See you at 1:00.

Jodi- the relay sounds like lots of fun:thumbsup2

Cindy - I'd have no problem sporting an old bathrobe to the start:rotfl2: Definitely serves its purpose;)

Dave - Have a safe trip tomorrow:)

I'm home icing the back now and for the duration of the day:rolleyes: . On a good note, my sales rep offered to meet me in Philly tomorrow to drive down to the customer visit together so it'll cut down on some of my drive time:yay: . Would he think it too weird if I tell him I have to lay down in the back seat :lmao: :rotfl: ?

Have a great evening guys:grouphug: I may not be able to post again so everyone please have safe travels and I'll see you soon:hippie:

Mike - My bro-in-law is from Thailand. He makes a great salad but it's murder the next day. I trust that Cam will not be putting any of those little Thai peppers in the lasagna. As for the touristy things you may want to try the Constitution Center. DW and DS just went there a few weeks ago for a school trip and liked it. The Franklin Institute is nice too and is close to the Embassy Suites.

Jen - My friend that got me into running marathons gave me the worst advice last year. Before Philly he told me not to run with pants because once I get going I'll warm up and will regret it...this is despite the fact that I did most of my October LR's in warm up pants. Well, it was the worst mistake I ever made. My legs NEVER got warm and the slight groin pull I had before the race turned into MAJOR pain as my muscles tightened up. Heat rises so the bigger decisions are whether to wear layers on top or a hat IMHO.

Howard - If you guys head over to the Terminal on Saturday for lunch I will meet you over there. It looks like I will be bagging my Friday Philly trip and heading to the expo on Saturday only. I'd love to catch lunch with you guys.

Sara - I don't envy the long ride. Hopefully the traffic is light and you can throw on cruise control and hook up the iPod.

Cindy - Great to hear Hercules is better! Thanks for the spreadsheet link. That's an awesome tool. If you get into Philly by 1PM we should still be around. It's only a 10-15 minute walk to the expo.

Jodi - No bling from A.C. except that I got some nice leads for work. In this economy I am not giving Donald Trump any of my money.

Chester - Hope to catch up with you on Saturday.

Hey everyone I missed!

Got in 4 miles outside today. It was cold but not too bad. We actually had flurries for about a 1/2 hour this morning. The weekend forecast looks good. Sunday looks like the best day of the weekend...nice.

:rotfl: Oh, yes, we will mock,:lmao: Be sure to stand in the potta-potty line a couple of lines over from where we are standing, so we can all laugh at you.:lmao:

Sara, Chester, and Tracy, safe travels tomorrow! We will see you in Philly.

Mike, is your harem excited about the upcoming educational trip?

Jen and Lou, you two are going to have to scope out the expo and tell us what's hot!

Jodi, what time does your train leave? Is your cell phone number still the same?

I need to get out for 3-4 miles tonight, then yoga tomorrow morning and that will put a wrap on this marathon training.:rotfl:

You drive safely too Sara. Would it be any wierder if your sales rep picked me up on the way, and I could lay down in the back seat too?
