I was wondering how you felt about your P&Ts in WDW?

We are considering getting one with a doubles kit since our SBS isn't an option for days at the parks since the baby will not keep his hands off his brother which results in much whining. :sad2:

Waht did you do for a shade for the rear seat if anything?

Do you find your older child wants to ride infront or inback?

What do you use for a diaper bag? Ours typcailly hangs from teh handle but i don't see that as an option on that type of stroller so did you use a side mount or stash it underneath?

I've seen a few in WDW so I'm guessing it's not hidieous for travel but i was wanting some feedback before we lug it there.

We love ours! We used it at Disney when we went last October (when DD's were 3 years old and 7 months old). We'll use it again this October (DD's will be 4.5 years old and 1.5 years old). It worked out great!

DD4 occasionally asks to ride in the back, but she just went over the rear weight limit of 33 pounds, so I dont let her back there anymore. I had to hold onto the stroller anyways if she got back there due to the tip factor. She doesnt even ask to ride back there anymore. But the heavier child needs to ride in the front or else you could risk tipping.

We didnt do anything extra for shade. We go in October when it isnt too hot anyways, so my kids never really get too hot when riding in it. The canopy on the front is not too great anyways.

We have the newer version of the E3, which is the Sport Buggy. So the back seat reclines some as well. So both kids are able to recline and nap when they need to.

As for our stuff, we usually carry a backpack that's easy to grab and take onto a ride. So either DH carries it or we sit it on top of the canopy. In the basket underneath I usually put the camera bag, some bottled waters, etc.

We really really really love our Phil and Ted's. It glides....seriously. Very easy to push. And it is the size of a single stroller. LOVE that!

It took me a while to catch on that Phil and Ted's is a stroller. First I thought you were talking about teenagers and referencing a movie. Then I thought you were talking about a certain type of adult relationship. This was all based on the title only.

Wish we could afford a Phil and Teds - they are very nice.

We took our P&T to Disneyland last year, with a 20 month old and almost 3 year old.

We live in a warm climate in Australia, similiar to the climate in Florida. Shade for the rear seat has never been a problem as the front seat provides the shade.

The storage on the pram is not great. We have the P&T pannier bags, which were great for our Disney trip for storing spare clothes etc. I found that 1 bag was enough. I use a backpack for a nappy bag. I would recommend getting a stroller caddy for drinks etc.

My eldest child prefers to walk. She would happily sit in the rear seat for a rest. Unfortunately she is now over the weight limit. I do find it annoying now when she wants to go in the pram that I have to put her in the front, then move my youngest to the rear seat.

Overall, it is a great stroller. Very easy to push and steer. It is also lighter and more compact than alot of alternatives.

We love our Phil & Teds.

we have never used anything for additional shade. My kids are used to the sun though.

I use a Jansport backpack as the diaper bag and shove it underneath in the basket. Its difficult to get out with a child in the seat though, so be sure to wear it through the gate so you can easily do bag check.

All of my children fight for the back, so we take turns LOL

That was my first thought too!:lmao:

Thanks for the responses! It's great to hear that people liked it before we invest in one.

I forgot one more question was it ok to take on board the plane? We'll be gate checking it, we're getting the Dash and I don't think it folds up with the doubles seat mounted so I'm not sure what to do with it at the gate; just take it on and put it over head?

Our seat has a red clip thing that you can clip the seat to the stroller? I dont know how that would work on the plane. I'd worry about it being damaged. Is there anyway to have it put into a travel bag? Or maybe pack the doubles part and use the stroller as a single stroller in the airports?? I dont really know as I've never flown with a stroller

I guess i have no idea how it goes together and play it out from there. I plan to gate check the stroller but i guess i could always throw the doubles seat in the carseat travel bag there's tons of room even with the car seat in it. I really only NEED the single part of the stroller thru the airport the toddler can walk.

I was thinking that the kids were named Phil and Ted. I had to open the thread to see what you were talking about!! Now I need to look up what the stroller looks like...

I have the P&T travel bag - keeps it nice and safe, and the toddler seat fits inside the bag.

We had no problem gate checking it at San Francisco and LAX. How I wish Australian airlines would let us gate check our strollers. You guys are so lucky.

You can buy the P&T's backpack that hangs from the handlebars. That's what we have and I love the bag- I use it for our main diaper bag.

My older DD doesn't care where she sits. I usually sit the baby in the back seat just because I can see her better. For shade I just drape a blanket over the handlebars and shade her down there.

For the plane, I would get a bag- or make one. I'm too afraid of them damaging the stroller.

We were planning on taking our P&T's this winter but have decided to stick with our Mac Twin instead. But FWIW, the P&T's is lighter and narrower than a Mac Twin so I thought that was cool!!

We just bought Protect-a-bub backseat tandem sunshade. We have taken the kids to Sea World, the zoo, aquarium, etc. in the P &T- LOVE it! We also have the saddle bags, a BOB console for drinks and use a backpack to take on rides. No need for us to fly since we are almost locals :)

Oh yes, forgot to say that we have the BOB console as well. LOVE that thing!

I will have to look into those items the parent tray and saddle bags. I think our Target has had some Skip Hop versions of them. I have regular size diaper babgs but i was worried it'd hang too low above the child sitting below. The side mount sounds like a better option, just not sure if they'd hold enough for several hours; have to check that out. Wish the stoller would get here already, i'm so ready to play with it!!!

LOVE ours at WDW...two trips now, and it was fabulous both times.

I definitely second the Skip Hop bag and the BOB console, both crucial.

For the plane ride, we bought this bag: http://www.leapsandbounds.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=534070&cmSource=Search

It was perfect. We got both the stroller and jump seat in without a problem, didn't have to take the wheels off or anything. As an added bonus, we were able to stuff our coats in it before we handed the bag over at gate check for one less thing to worry about on the plane. :aok:

We have a P&T and while we have enjoyed it, it is becoming more difficult to use. Our older one likes to climb in and out of the front and has made the little one come close to tipping backwards on several occasions. We used it last year but this year we are going to go with 2 mcclaren umbrella's.

We are considering purchasing a P&T from a friend. We thought it would be nice for Disney. We have a 7, 5, and 2 year old and we are expecting another and I hate my current double stroller that I have had since #2. I like that we could use the P & T for even my 5 year old on this trip, and then later with the baby and Toddler.

I have a few questions though, did anyone use the buses and was it a pain? We will not have a car for this trip. Also, did anyone worry about someone stealing the stroller? It is a pretty nice stroller, and even used we will be putting over a heavy chunk of change for it. The one we are buying includes the travel bag, so I was thinking about just checking it and having an umbrella just for the airport. What do you think? Should I just put it in the bag before departure and gate check it?

TIA!
