I need to buy a new single stroler for our 4 month old - I am looking at a phil & ted plus it has the option of adding a second seat. does anyone have this stroller & have you brought it to disney before?
TIA

I do have this stroller. It's a great stroller - especially if you're planning on having closely spaced siblings. The only problem is that the canopy isn't great, so in disney you'll probably need to use the sunshade. I haven't brought mine to disney (because I didn't have it last year and this year I'm opting for 2 sinlges) but I have seen other Phil & teds while at disney.

We have had the Phil & Ted, and I love it!! I have had it for about 2 years now. We take it everywhere. The sunshade isn't fantastic, but it did the job for us. We just got back from WDW in March and had no problems with the sun being too much for our little guy.

My boys fight over who is going to sit on the bottom now. It's kinda funny b/c everyone thinks that the kid will hate the bottom seat. The only complaint that I have is that when the seat in on the bottom, you don't have a ton of storage space.

I bought the BOB console for mine and the saddlebags to give me some extra storage. Works perfect for us!!

I have this stroller and absolutely love it. I've never taken it to Disney though, but I think it would be a great Disney stroller, nice and comfortable for your child. The only con about this stroller IMO is that it is a real PAIN to fly with.

I have the same issue with the bottom seat. I usually have my 9 month old in there and my 2.5 yo wants to sit back there.

I loved flying with this stroller (I have the travel bag for it though) ;-)

We looked at this stroller when we bought our valco. My concern was that when you have a child in the bottom seat and one in the top. If for whatever reason you move the child in the top seat to tend to their needs, the stroller flips backwards.

That said my cousin opted to buy it anyway. They seem to like it, but they really have to watch because it does flip.

Wow, I have never had my stroller fall backwards once. I have even pushed it with no one in the front seat and just my DS in the back seat, although you are not supposed to do this. One of the things I love about it is just how sturdy it is.

kim_o, you love flying with this stroller? I have a travel bag too and I still think it's a pain to take the wheels off before putting it in there. I find it so much easier to travel with a cheaper stroller I don't care about as much...just fold up the stroller and leave it for them to toss right on the plane, no travel bag or anything.

I never take the wheels off - that probably explains it then. ;) I just throw it in there and leave the wheels out (I have the new bag that fits the Sport....not sure if you have the older one) and roll it down the jetway behind me and drop it off at the door.

Got this stroller when pregnant with my first child and I LOVE IT!!!!
We now have two kids and it is such a big hit! Like nemomama mentioned, I have NEVER had my stroller flip either and my oldest DD has been in the back by herself. I think this stroller is super sturdy.
I don't have a travel bag for it, so we do not bring it to Disney. Wouldn't want it to get ruined by the airlines :) We bring an umbrella stroller there b/c it is just easier to fold up and bring on the bus, etc...
We also have an extra sunshade for the front b/c the one it comes w/ doesn't provide adequate sun protection.

I have never had a problem with the stroller flipping backwards either. But I could see how it would happen.

I also didn't mind flying with the stroller. I have a large back that it just barely fits in, but I don't take the wheels off at all. And I actually throw a few other things into the bag as well, like the bottom seat and blankets and such.

THE BEST DOUBLE STROLLER EVER!!!

wife and i bought this stroller thru ebay and it was the best $500 we spent. our 4 yo still fits comfortably in the front and the 1 yo love being in the back.. we have taken to the beach and had no problem in the sand. the only drw back is it is rather large when you fold it up and you have to take the back seat off to fold it.....that really is the only drw back......plus we shop and travel alot with it and the compact size is great for getting in stores....

Oh, that explains it...lol, I have the 2006 E3. It sounds like the newer model you have is better suited for travel.

brightvalleyjrts, as annoying as it is, be careful if you don't take the wheels off before checking the stroller. The one time I didn't take the wheels off, both axels were badly damaged and had to be replaced.

Love it! Only stroller I've had for over a year. Took it to Disney (we drove) and it was wonderful! 4 year old only rode sometimes so the bottom seat was great for souvies!
