What time should we be there for a Sat 7:00 am flight on SW? I'm going to check in at 12:01, so I won't have to do that at the airport. Also if we use a skycab how much do you tip. Do you think security will be crowded at that time? TIA!

usually take this flight myself. Went in January, was not horribly crowded, arrived at the airport 5:30 and were there with plenty of time to spare. Security was not at all crowded and we went thru with no problems. Never used skycab, sorry. Have a great trip.

I usually tip the skycap (it's "cap", not "cab" btw) $1 per bag. If it's close to a $5 or $10, I'll make it even.

You shouldn't have too many problems at that time. As for the skycap, I usually tip $1.50 per bag. If I have a bag that is a little heavier or a lot of luggage to check then I'll add another $1-2 to the total.

Tip the skycap $1-2 a bag. I would allow extra time for security at Phila. That airport is very busy. even at that hour.

I would rather be sitting at my gate with some extra time than struggling to get through security.

we will be on that flight with you!!!! staying at the Marriot at the airport so hope to roll out of bed and over to the gate without waking up too much....our 2 girls will be the ones looking totally confused as it is a surprise trip and they will not know why they are at the airport or where they are going !!!! :) see you there!!

Shouldn'r be too bad. I'd still leave plenty of time to get there. Don't know if you'd come down 95 or the Blue Route to get there, but even at that hour, I have hit traffic problems at the bottom of the blue route.

Enjoy the trip !!!!

What she said! Although it's gotten better, Philly can still be an absolute cluster when it comes to security screening.
