PH at Water Parks ??

I am purchasing an AP primarily for the lodging discounts but everybody else in my party will have PH Plus tickets. So we are planning on visiting a water park one day and my AP does not get me in the water park.

I have an old PH pass that I believe has one day (regular day not a plus day) left on it... Can I use that for the water park ??

No, unfortunately, only plus options may be used for a water park. However, because you have an AP, you should at least be able to get a discount for the water park admission.

Thanks for the reply. That seems weird because I am basically exchanging something worth more (admission to a theme park) for something less (admission to a water park). Oh well....

Also - is there any trade-in value for this old PH pass with my soon to be purchased Annual Pass ?

Yes, you should be able to trade in your PH pass and have its remaining value applied towards the purchase of an AP.

If you plan on visiting water parks or Pleasure Island or Disney Quest four or more times (any combination) within a year, get a premium AP.

(Consider two or more visits to PI within a six day span as a single visit since adding five more nights to a single night PI ticket costs five more dollars.)

It is hard to say how advantageous it is to trade in a partly used hopper pass towards an AP, but trading in a partly used hopper pass towards another hopper pass has a bad exchange rate that gets worse the older the old pass is. "One day" on an old hopper pass is always worth a day when you use the pass as is. But it is worth in dollars much less than a day's worth of a new hopper pass at today's ticket prices when doing a trade in.
