When is the best time to go here? How long is the line usually? Is a weekday better then a weekend? Do they just rush you through or do you get time with the princesses? We leave in 6 days for a 5 day vacation. Thanks so much! My DS thanks you too!

I think the wait times are almost always going to be long. I've actually stood in line for the PFF twice. Once at night in the last hour before it closed and once in the morning before it opened. The wait at night was much longer, I'm thinking around 40 minutes. In the morning, I showed up about 15 minutes or so before PFF opened and didn't have to wait long once they took everyone over into the queue.

The tradeoff with doing it early in the morning is losing that valuable early morning touring time. I think you have to assess just how much your family wants to see the princesses. And be aware that if it's just one certain princess you want to meet, you may have to wait in long lines multiple times hoping, but never guaranteed to see her.

Generally speaking, you'll get a couple of minutes or so with each character. It's more than just smile, say cheese, and move along, but it's not like you'll be spending 5 minutes discussing the finer points of War and Peace with Belle. That said the characters can do a lot in those 1-2 minutes to make the interaction memorable and once in a while you can have more interaction time.

We went first thing on a Friday morning (well, I must fess up we did ride PP on the way:flower3:) and waited in line about 20 minutes. I think we were the third or fourth group to see the princesses. Granted we were a large group, but they spent a good 5-10 minutes with us while all kinds of pix were taken. I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes and everytime I pass by during the day, the wait seems endless. Go early or like Sleepless Night said, end of the day (but my feet are too tired after 8 pm:rotfl:). The backdrops are wonderful for pix and the princesses are perfect, as usual.

Have a great trip.

I would recommend going mid week and definitly first thing in the morning..I have done this quite a few times with my DD...The longest we have ever waited was probably 1 hr and we were only in the first section of the line up...GO EARLY..

Everytime we have done this, the princesses have always spent time with her....Not once have I felt rushed in there...Not like when you do a character meal and they come to your table sign the autograph book, pose for a pic and then they are gone...

We are at DL right now. Haven't done PFF but have walked by twice since Monday. Both times were after lunch and the waits were 1.5 - 2 hrs!!!!! So we definitely won't be doing that on this trip.....

PFF is a meet and greet thus a slow loader. Even if they have the princess go off stage while new ones come on and which breaking it is going to be slow by nature. even if they do 2 families a minute they are only going to handle 120 families an hour and 500 people maximum. Dumbo has so many elephants so it is has long lines and PFF can only meet and greet so many people an hour.

This might have been once-in-a-lifetime, but Prince Ali was at PFF Sunday, March 22, and Peter Pan was also seen there.
