pets

They are not permitted in the rooms but there are kennels in WDW where you can leave them overnight.

IIRC, SpiceyCat's cat Spicey spends time at the kennels by Fort Wilderness. I'm sure she'll pop in to tell you more.

As Jim says you can't have your pet in your DVC room.

Spicey loves FW kennel, I also like Epcot kennels - don't like Studio or AK - not enough room to walk your pet at these places.

the kennel cost $9 overnight stay for WDW guests - off-site guest $11 for overnight stay.

You HAVE to walk your pet - if you decide to use a WDW kennel. the one at Epcot will walk them once a day for $2.50 extra a day. But they still need you to come and walk your pet.

Spicey gets 3 to 5 walks a day - when we stay there.

If the kennel is closed and you want to visit, walk, or take your pet home - you can just call the security guards - there is generally a number on the door to call.

your pet MUST have all their vacanations to stay in the inside part.

here the information from this site
http://www.wdwinfo.com/tips_for_touring/pets.htm

there are also local kennels at Orlando, Kissimmee to board your pet.

Spicey likes to walk after dark (he is a cat) and most of the local kennel close at 5:00pm.

there is a new timeshare Celebration World Resort - it is RCI (not II) that accepts pets!!! we have stayed there twice.

I can highly reccomend the kennels as well! We left our show dogs there a couple of times when we combined a WDW trip with a January dog show trip. It is really a cut into your vacation time to keep running back to the kennels several times a day, so we NEVER do that any more. Your pet is usually much easier left at home with a pet sitter or a friend.

depends upon you and your pet.

Spicey will be 19 year old this June - and loves his time at FW kennel.

some pets hate it!!! Dogs have cried here!!!

his brother and sister (my other 2 cats) - get either a pet sitter - or a friend to come in and take care of them. they HATE to travel and won't enjoy the kennel.

He likes to sleep - so he definites enjoys the time away from them and me for that matter. I think the only time he is awake - is when I am there to walk him and feed him....

He comes back well feed and well rested.

Which is more than most of us can say after a trip to WDW! :rotfl2:

Our Chihuahua Bosley comes with us to Disney and loves staying in the kennels. He has stayed at AK, MK, and MGM..we like the idea that we can be with him for his walks throughout the day...

There are no pets allowed at any DVC resort or any other WDW resort for that matter. Use the kennel or better yet leave them at a local kennel near your home.
