We are going to be flying into MCO with another couple and there DD but they are bringing their little dog with them as well. She will be staying at the Disney pet hotel by OKW. I was wondering if they will be allowed to transport their dog, in a kennel of course, on the magical express or will they have to rent a car? TIA!

They will have to rent a car.

No pets, unless service animals, allowed on DME. I flew my ds's cat down to him...he is in Tampa and drove over to meet me. I was staying at BWV. DS had to drive to MCO though and pick us up there since DME wouldn't allow the cat on the bus.

Just a opinion.but dogs/cats/pets do much better at home in surroundings they know with a relative or friend *dog sitting*,or a local kennel. It is selfish to drag them with you just because the owners *need* to have the pet with them. Not to mention the time each day you will lose at the parks or pool/resort.

An animal goes though *A LOT of stress in flying/traveling and will get much more attention at home then the limited time you will have to visit and look after him with the on site kennel.

I totally agree with you. I see pets daily at work and they are usually not very happy.

Yep....100% true. The only reason I flew my ds's cat to him was because he didn't have the ability to drive the cat down with him the month prior to my trip. He moved to Florida and his car was chock-a-block full of stuff..no room for the poor cat!! So, I took her.

I will never understand the need to bring animals on vacation...especially someplace like WDW. It's so stressful on a pet. They are away from familiar surroundings, their family isn't there except for short visits. So much better to board them at home....since they're being boarded anyway, why not do away with all that travel stress!!!
But, to each his own, I guess.

I total agree..........there are time when a pet has to fly/travel........this just is not one of those times!..AKK
