Just wondering if RPR also allows pets..and if so is there a specific tower they put them in...thanks..amy

I was going to post earlier, but have been having a hard time getting the site to respond.

Yes, you can take your pet to RPR. We took ours in July. The concierge was kind of clueless, but star service was able to answer any questions we had, and finally sent Molly a bag full of special gifts. Nice touch! ::yes:: We were in Tower 2, and I'm assuming that all pets were, because that's where the pet walk is. If you go out the exit stairs, you come out at the pet walk complete with bags to clean up. Everyone there was great with her, and made her and us feel very welcome. We even had a lady in housekeeping ask if she could play with her. :D We were told by an employee that we were not restricted to the one pet walk, because there was several grassy areas near Tower 2 that were away from normal foot traffic. Our room was only a few rooms from the stairs, so we always went out there. We had our RV and had to park in the Convention parking lot, which meant we had to walk her through the Convention area and were never given a second glance. Same goes for the other common areas. We got no negative comments, but always had guests wanting to pet her. It sometimes took awhile to get anywhere, especially for a baby girl who was already doing the gotta peepee dance. ;) We were careful to walk as far away from other guests as possible, unless they approached us.

If given a choice, I would rather stay in Tower 1, but alas that was not an option. Tower 2 is farthest from the boats. There is, however, a walking path to the parks off the main lobby. The down elevator stops right outside the lobby. To get back to the room, we found the fastest way to be to cut through the pool and enter the gate beside the farthest hut. Go around Tower 1, past the outdoor seating for Jake's American Bar. The elevator is just around the corner.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

We were in tower 3 and there were dogs there too. Don't know if it's only on special floors there or what.

We were wanting to take our yorkie/chihuahua mix, but she barks whenever she hears a noise. I'm very concerned this would be a major problem...will we get kicked out, are they understanding?

Any input?

I believe they give you a pager to take with you in case they need you to come back. I'd be more concerned with your dog barking whenever she hears a noise. You can hear talking people going by in the hallways all the time. Would that make her
bark every time? Not sure how much barking can be heard through the walls to other's rooms. Housekeeping works a certain way w/pets in room too..hopefully someone can answer more about that.

but two dogs to the RPR last year.

They were treated exceptionally well by the hotel staff...........

once they realized the two were stuffed.

Just a thought for your dog that barks- I have a mini rat terrier and she too barks at every noise. You never know what may harm her mommy and daddy!! :teeth: Never stayed with her at RPR but what we have done before is brought a fan- a cheap noisy table-top fan and turned a radio on. Usually with the combination she is fine. You could also request a room at the end of a hallway so there won't be too many people passing by the room.

My cat loved this place....

they put us on the seventh floor above the trees...He watched the birds....

we were staying here so we could get fole - but mother and Spicey loved it so much - that we didn't leave.....

Barking dogs are a problem.
We stayed at HRH, and after we entered our room, the kids got excited and started playing with the dog (yellow lab). She barked for a few minutes. The desk downstairs called us to say guests had complained. Then 2 people from hotel staff came up and talked with us. They didn't kick us out, but asked when we were leaving. After that, we kept our dog quiet. When she barked at people in the hallway, we said no and she would stop and after that, she caught on. So yes, if your dog barks, people will complain to hotel staff immediately and they'll come up and speak with you.
Being at the HRH with bands playing in the lobby, loud music, kids yelling in the hallway, you'd think people would be ok with a dog barking, and it wasn't even at night. But no, they called immediately.
