Hi There, Has anyone traveled to Royal Pacific with their dog, or Universal in general? Was just curious if dogs can only go in certain areas or not? Also are dogs able to be on city walk? Everyone always says no but I know that I have seen dogs on city walk before??? So was just curious. Thank You:)

don't know about city walk but guests with animals are usually in tower 2 at rph.

Thank you for your response, I hope to hear a little bit more from people that have actually taken their dogs. What kind of views do you have in tower 2?? I would just like my Mom to have a nice view since she will have to spend most of her time in the hotel room since she is not very mobile. Thank You.:)

the pet floors are first and second floor in a standard room.

not great views.

lobby is 3rd floor and the two lower floors are at ground level.

i can't recall seeing any dogs with their owners at city walk.

this is the only write up i could find on the UO hotel website:

Thank you so much for the information, hopefully someone will come along that has traveled with their dog before and have some information. Thank You.:)

I was very surprised to learn that the onsite hotels allow pets. I assume we can request a room in which pets are never allowed? I do not want to stay in a room which has housed pets before due to allergy issues.

You most certainly can.

Just saw your post OP. We've been the past three years, this year was the first at RPR & we won't go back to the HRH.

We were right outside the pet park, so our view was only trees. However, we were on the same floor as the pool & Jakes, so for us, that was a plus. We already booked RPR for next year. We were going to go during Thanksgiving, too, but we just got a new pup so we want to wait until he is fully housebroken.

We don't typically do housekeeping and instead, clean up after ourselves. We request clean linens, etc. but we empty our own trash. Lowes hotels make it very nice for families with pets.

PM me if you have more questions because I don't come here often

if you are a Loews YouFirst member, you can list it in your profile.

maybe you have already done that which would be why it was documented for your next reservation.

We have stayed at both the Hard Rock and Royal Pacific with our small dog. At RP, the dog walk area was very close to our room. The ground nearest the door can be muddy and not everyone was kind enough to pick up after their dog so watch your step. I preferred the HR dog walk since it is a nice, flat grassy area but was a bit of a walk from our room. We had to walk through the lower level of the hotel past the fitness center and door to the pool. During the day there would be a lot of people in this area. One night, I brought Libby up to the lobby to have the caricature done. The staff was great!
We will be staying at RP again next month since it's cheaper than HR but we love both.

Thank you for this advice, I have always wanted to stay at HRH, but was not sure if they alloweed pets, but guess they do, so that is exciting, I might have to change my reservation to the Hard Rock since it sounds like the dog area is nicer. They sound like they treat the dogs very well. :goodvibes
