Peter Pan Refurbishment in May: How long?

wow, a whole month of refurb for PP? i guess they didn't want it down for spring break, but have it ready for summer time...i guess that's one of the down-sides for going during an "off peak" time. we'll be there the night of 5/3 thru 5/8...

Seriously this is CRAZY I mean with all the referbs going on in DCA its a shame there are loads going down at DL as well... Fantasmic, Peter Pan, Half the fireworks show cut out, no Electrical parade until later....

i hear ya! i think the DEP was up and running during the 1st week of may of last year...so i was hoping that it would be running while we are there the 1st week of may this year...but it's not!

Our family will miss doing Peter Pan too. We're there from 5-10 to 5-14. I'm bummed! But I guess now I have a good argument for a 2nd Disneyland vacation. Hopefully, I can convince my DH!

I think we'll be okay with it, we arrive April 26. So I hope they don't decide to take it down early or anything!

We've been there when PP was down for a month before. Seems like when this one goes down, it goes down for a quite a while. It's a favorite of ours too!

Yikes! We will be there May 29-June3rd! Maybe they will open it a couple days early - I love PP!
On the up side, that must mean they don't expect large summer crowds until after June 7th. Which of course is what we are hoping for!

This is always the best excuse. Tell DH or DW, "Hey hon, we're going back to DL." "What? Why?" "Cause we missed Peter Pan." "But!... oh, you're right."

That's a bummer though. They are being hard on the pre-Summer vacationers!

No one knows the rest of May, but someone posted above that a CM told them it was out for the rest of May over the phone. Besides through calls with Disney, a lot of info we get through here comes from CMs on the site, and other sites which usually have connections to park employees.

This has me bummed. I was looking forward to the DL version again after seeing the WDW version. Especially sad since there are so many rides my mom won't be able to go on after her surgery but we were both looking forward to this one. Fingers crossed that the CM got it wrong.

I'm a dork...it'll be fine for our april trip. For some reason I thought it went down this month but duh...spring break. I am sad about the DEP too...seems like it starts late this year.
