I know my memory is faulty, and I was at DL looong ago (but was still an adult). I just remember the Peter Pan ride at DL being absolutely magical, and the one at WDW was just kind of ho hum...? Was it just my mood, or are the two rides really different?

In particular, the nursery scene seemed to be longer at DL...?

i've never been to the one in DL but i absoutly love the one in DW! Peter Pan is my favorite movie so maybe i'm just partial to anything related to it! lol princess:

I remember the one at Disneyland was more magical and well done than at Magic Kingdom. I can't remember if it was longer or not.

I think the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World has a page that compares the same rides at both parks and tells you which ones are better or longer. I will look it up and report back.

I went to DL in November. I have always loved PP in WDW and would say the one in DL was so much more magical. The "stars" in the sky as you fly over London are neat. There is a little dip in the flight as you fly over London and a swoosh of air that makes you feel you are really up there. It just seems better. I also remember the ending mermaid scene was really pretty and they had lights behind a waterfall that made it look sparkly instead of just neon paint. I'll still enjoy the World's version, but DL is better.

In my opinion I like the one at DL better but for my DD 4 the one at WDW is better. The part where you fly over neverland is larger and she enjoys the mermaid scene at WDW more.

Peter Pan, Snow White, Small World, Pirates, Space Mountain and Mr. Toad when it was at the World are all better at Disneyland.
Peter Pan, Snow White and Mr. Toad were all upgraded/redone at Disneyland when they added the Pinnocio dark ride there around 1983-84. Alice in Wonderland was also upgraded around the same time. This included replacing many of the cardboard characters with animatronic characters. This has not been done on any of these at Disney World to my knowledge.

Splash Mountain is better at WDW though.

We went to DL in Oct. and then back to WDW in Dec., going on both rides. I don't remember thinking anything "stuck out" as being better or more magical at either place. I will say that WDW got it right with the continually moving "boat" ride vehicles...at DL they have to stop to let you in and then start back up. That is why it is recommended you hit it first to avoid lines. We got our Space MT. fast-pass and then headed over to it and still waited for 20 min. in line....the line got longer as we walked by during the day.
