Tell me about Peter Pan Flight? I've heard it is dark, but I assume it is still good for a 5 year old? At the moment, it is in my list for both DS9 and DD5.

Dark but usually okay for littles. My nieces have ridden it for years and they're 7 and 6 now.

It is great for kids. It is dark, but not scary at all. It looks like you're riding over scenes from Peter Pan. We ride it at least twice each trip.

It's dark under the definition of a dark ride but there is enough light to see your surroundings. No jump out scary parts. I think it's perfect for your kids.

Our 3yr old went on every single ride that he was able to within the height limit. This included, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Star Wars, Tower of Terror, Soarin, Malstrom, Splash Mountain, etc.

The only "scary" part of HM is the stretch room, but I just held him and the 5yr old, once on the ride it was great.

Peter Pan's Flight is amazing, one of the best rides.

Does he like flying pirate ships? And honestly who doesn't love them?

Yea he should be fine.

It's not too dark and it's not scary at all. This is one of the most inventive rides anywhere and certainly a must-do for that age.

In case you were wondering about speed- it's SLLLLLoooooowwwwwww

and even the heights are not a real issue- you can tell that you are maybe 10 feet? 20 feet off the ground? You aren't high at all- nothing like Soarin.

Peter Pan's Flight is a classic Disney family ride, perfect for the littles!

My two year old and ten year old both loved the ride last week. It is dark but not scary dark, IMO.

As others have said it is a must do...not scary at all...it does build up long wait times! Suggest riding it early in the day or late in the evening...or get FP+.

It was my 3 year old Daughters first ride and she was very upset that we had to get off when we reached the end. She loved it. She repeated the same for every ride at WDW over our week there including HM which I thought would scare her away from dark rides all together. I would say the ride she liked the least was BTMRR because her tiny self next to me meant that the lap bar was no where near close to touching her lap so she had a daddy restraint system for that ride.

its one of my earliest and best memories of wdw. I never noticed the 'arm' and the overhead track as a small child, so I really thought the ship was 'flying'. Thanks, Walt, for my life long obsession with Disney :>)

Thanks for all the replies. Definitely keeping it on the list then for DD5. It is marked as one of our FP (and early in the morning), so hopefully no issues.

Thanks also for the you tube link. I actually tried to view on there, but found it dark to tell much :confused3
