Peter Pan flight closed?

So I was just looking at magic kingdom wait times and saw that peter pans flight is closed for refurb. Has there been any announcement as to how long this is going to be? I have a fast pass for this ride in December and am wondering what happens. Do I need to change my fast pass selection to a different ride?
