the author of jaws has died age 65 , the man responsible for scaring many swimmers over the years

I just heard the news on t.v. I only caught part of the cause of death. Did anyone get that? It sounded like something with his lungs. Just curious.

it was idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.....a degenerative lung disease

RIP to the man who persuaded us it was unsafe to go into the water. A friend who is a lifeguard at newquay beach and has been there for years said that the year that Jaws was released was the first year NOBODY got into trouble in the water. why? 'cos there was no one IN the water
