Pete thinks Fall Discounts will be released in the not so distant future....

If a better-than-VISA offer comes up, and you've already booked with the VISA offer and made FP reservations, if you call to get the better offer, does that affect the FP reservations you've made (i.e. does your original booking--and all related FP reservations--get cancelled in order to get new discount)?
It shouldn't but make sure to ask the rep on the phone while you do it.

I can't find it on my chase offers either. We are currently booked at YC on a free dining package that we upgraded to deluxe dining. Just curious if there would be any savings to switch over to CSR, the tower is beautiful. But the free dining on 4 adults might be hard to beat.

This is what I was considering. We also have yacht club free dining. I’m not sure I can give up walking to 2 parks though.

Short answer is no you will not lose your FP+ as long as you end up with ticket entitlements in your MDE account. Your FP+ are tied to your tickets. If you are concerned you can book a new reservation and once it shows up correctly in MDE then you can cancel your original reservation.

The CM should be able to handle it all with a single phone call.

Aw Shucks! Had an early Sept Trip planned to Pop with the expectation that I would ride the skyliner... now Im that much more likely to drop my ressie and book something else. Im hearing all this talk about Disney's bookings being way way down... why don't they drop these discounts? I have a feeling we will see a big release tomorrow. I think they waited hoping we would all blink and pay rack rate for GE... nah... area 4 and 5 star hotels have huge discounts for my dates, Disney got too greedy... they will probably have to sweeten the deal with free dining or some huge markdown.

Just got off the phone. Woman also told me it was a package only discount. I asked to speak to guest services and was put on hold for 15 minutes. She came back and said she was wrong, I could do room only. However the only room available was POR for $350 a night 🤣. Fingers crossed for AP rates soon!

Ditto. We’re due in the week prior to the opening ... now debating what to do.

Sounds exactly what happened to me. The room-only price sounded eerily similar to rack rate...

Yeah... that price as a discounted rate sounds like Grade A Baloney on Disney's Part... any of our more seasoned dis'ers... does inventory typically disappear when Disney is about to put out discounts?

Im thinking less along the lines of forced scarcity and more they had to take inventory offline to update the prices.

We are hoping for a October discount but I took a look at September anyway and I was shocked to see how much availability there is. I could have picked any resort. Even the week we are hoping for October has 90% of resorts available. Does Disney really think people will go for this Visa offer thinking it is a deal?

If discounts come out tomorrow but only for September we are going to look at doing a different vacation. I know Disney won't care but I tired of the game.

We got told towers were sold out- I didn't bother checking for the AKL portion of our stay since it took forever to find that out and I already had a PH discount on it and the website shows 0 availability for our CL savanah view room. Disney needs to get their act together on this stuff.

I noticed just before this Visa discount came out that there was a ton of availability at most all resorts and in almost ALL category of rooms. Then late last night many room categories suddenly showed "no availability". Same thing today They are playing game.

Between this and Disney stringing AP's along about GE previews for a month... im getting pretty irritated.
This is the same place that encourages us to book dining 180 days out and pick FP 60 days out... No way any substantial portion of those rooms that were so plentiful 2-3 days ago got booked. I was always told that Disney want 100% occupancy, but maybe this is a shift in policy? Or some serious glitch with their reservation system.

Quick update, I checked my dates for September and everything is wide open with the exception of Pop ( I suspect that will change now that Skyliner isn't opening until almost October) and Riviera (Which may not even be open yet)... Absolutely no Discounts listed... a whole lotta rack rate.

Here in the UK I have been monitoring since early June for a mid September trip of 5 days. I was hoping for a discount as historically advised by Mousesavers. Nothing at all came up and then the value, moderate stock disappeared completely then reappeared so booked Pop with an offer of 14 days for 7 price ticket beginning of July. Next day and ever since then cheapest price and availability starts at Coronado Resort at £1241 for 5 days.
In UK all focus appears to be on next year with the free dining. A summer offer finishes end of August 2019.
It was a late decision to come but I was hoping to see a discount. The 4.5 hotels on Disney property do have some appealing rates but I need DME and with their resort rates Pop is not too much of a difference really. I also will get to ride the Skyliner for 2 days.

I was able to grab 6 nights at Pop for November! Only had to change my date by one day to make it work! I was so excited when I saw that “delicious” offer posted!! Hope everyone gets what they have been waiting for!
