I also have it from a pretty reliable source....the dates I heard differ, August 16th to October 3. History has shown the dis is usually right!

I wasn't sure how to leave a comment over there. But anyway, I got a pin a while back for free dining during those dates...so I would say its pretty likely those will be the dates for the public as well. Another reason I believe that is because I have a couple of friends that have recieved pin codes in years past and they turned out to be the exact same dates released to the public later on (Disney Visa members first, then public).

Now my big question, will they have free dining dates in December like they did last year? Of course that wouldn't be announced this early, I think it was later in the year when they announced that last year.

I was actually hoping there wouldn't be free dining since this is the first time I'm staying at DVC and we are not eligible for that promotion, plus it will attract a ton of people during the last two weeks of August. Normally, the free dining didn't start until the last week of August.

I'm assuming you would have to pay the rack rates and it can't be combined with 4/3, correct? So maximum savings would be $120/night for a family of 4 with two kids over 10. A good deal at val/mod prices.

Will 4/3 still be available for Deluxe resorts over that period?

I don't want "Free" Dining. With the 2 of us, it's not much of a "deal". I want the 4 for 3.... Because of my dd's school/camp schedule, we have a certain week we can only go.

In years past, you have had to pay rack rate for your resort and theme park admission.

And no matter what, Disney will only allow one discount per package. So you'd have to choose between discounts.

However the 4/3 discount is only available for travel through August 15th - so I don't think you'll have to worry about choosing between the 2.
