Think of it like the Olympics. (Using Weightlifting -- Paul *Launchpad11b* can clarify) The first lift is something that will get you into the next round. Nothing incredible. Now, in the next round Pete will be adding some major plates (pounds) to the bar. Going into the finals, records will be broken!

I'm pretty sure the lakes in Minnesota NEVER get above 80 degrees which is what "activates" the amoebas. I'm sure by now, most of them are well below 80 degrees! Brrr.

I dunno... Every time I've been to Minneapolis, everyone seemed so ACTIVE!! I picture little brain-sucking aboebas on recumbent bikes scooting all over the city looking for unwary kids...

As someone who lives on a lake in Minnesota, trust me - there are lakes you do NOT want to go in! I haven't heard of human death, but we have had dog deaths. For us humans, unless you want a nasty rash all over your body (and I mean ALL OVER ), just keep away.
