Poor PodCast Crew... You have now crossed that line between love and obsession.

Pete, I run around the house like a madwoman shutting down electronic equipment when storms approach our area too. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to have that stuff running during a storm. One lightning strike nearby, one power surge, or outage could set you back for months!

Isn't that the truth? I complained when our DSL modem/router blew during a storm earlier this year. It was $100 to replace it, and I still am sore about that. I can only imagine the electronic equipment Pete's got.

Our house seems to be a magnet for electrical nonsense, so we've learned to invest in UPS's, surges, and best of all YANK THE PLUG WHEN IT THUNDERS! I need to spend some money on a good electrician. Our 50 year old electrical system needs an upgrade.

Oh, and regarding the line between love and obsession? I think most of us roared past that a long time ago. There was a line?

Oh, I know. I love the DIS and checked many times for the email show yesterday, but when it's not there, I just assume there's been a glitch and get on with my day. I know I checked at least a handful of times. However, as with other podcasts, these people are taking the time to put these things together and for the most part, they aren't paid to do it. For the Unplugged Crew, it might fall under their job responsibilities, but for many other podcasters, it's out of the goodness of their hearts and their SERIOUS obsession for Disney. So, when something is late, I just wait as patiently as possible.

I also trust that if there was some type of emergency or major problem, Pete would make a quick post letting us know. On the fateful day of Bob's passing, we were informed pretty quickly, probably more quickly than we were entitled to.

I'm not hammering on you caleb, but I can understand Pete's frustration.
