Petals & Pixie Dust Planning Journal 11/30/2009/2010

Looks like everything is coming along nicely! I wanted to tell you to check on my brother's wedding pics on my FB page. His new wife got hair extensions from Sally Beauty (clip on ones) for $100 and then had them died to match her hair (she died her hair ON her wedding day- I found this VERY gutsy:scared1:). I was a bit skeptical about how the extensions would look but it turned out GORGEOUS:love: I think I am going to get some to use for our MK/Epcot Photoshoot. Don't worry I'm sure your hair will end up perfect in the end!

I saw those pics...her hair is a little longer than I really want...SIGH we will see what happens. I agree...dying her hair on her wedding day is very very gutsy. I don't know for now I will try and grow it out...we will see what happens...

I found these cute chip board books and thought  I have to make these into guide books for our guests!
So, I decided that these will have the following information in them...
-Where to catch the magical express
-Everyone's cell numbers
-ADRs (applicable to each persons schedule)
-Wedding day timeline
There is room for more...but I don't know what else to put...
Any thoughts?

DH and I filled out our questionnaire today. I have to say that it was the easiest thing in the world...Our biggest hiccup was trying to figure out cake flavors. I'm going to ask our planner if we can have chocolate cake with dark chocolate mousse with raspberries (it is in Carrie's book...but not on the sheet that they give you to fill out) DH only wants one flavor...and wants to take the top layer home. I'm kind of bummed about this b/c I wanted to try the lemon cake with tropical mousse or strawberry mousse...but honestly...I have to give DH something and our wedding day is not the day to try something new...Chocolate cake with dark chocolate mousse with raspberries it is...:thumbsup2
Mickey and Minnie is their dress attire is a go. DH said "That was a given." :rotfl:
We are going to use the Modern Deco cake colors with the cake that we picked out...but again...I'm conflicted whether or not to go with pink or red...just b/c the cake topper has pink flowers...*sigh* any thoughts on that one? (I think I asked this in my last post...)
Now to find out when I'm suppose to meet up with Misty...and first look stuff and blah blah blah...:rotfl:

It feels like you've planned so much, and it's all coming into place already, and you're still months out!

wish I was that organised.

WOW! I don't feel organized at all...I constantly feel like I"m missing something...and then someone reminded me...we still need to figure out what we are wearing for tuxes! Or...something else that is a bit ridiculous! :rotfl: I'm glad I look organized...but I don't feel that way. LOL

I'm sitting on pins and needles b/c my TA is suppose to get my ADRs for me tomorrow. I thought I was going to have to work...but I don't...but she is going to take care of it anyway...I'M NERVOUS! *sigh*

Well, so long as you don't feel organised... :rotfl: maybe I'm in the same boat then...

Good luck with your ADR's, I like to think that TAs have a better chance of getting what you want.

Here are our ADR's My TA did a great job and got us everything we wanted...The only thing that didn't work out was that we wanted LeCellier for dinner and got it for lunch...but overall..I'm pretty happy...

Saturday: Whispering Cannon Cafe (FOB, MOB, DH, & Me)
Sunday: LeCellier DH & Me 50's PT (MOB, FOB)
Monday: Afternoon Tea MOB & Me Chef Mickey's all 8 of us!
Tuesday: WEDDING DAY!
Wednesday: Hoop-De-Doo All 8 of us!
Thursday: Boma DH & Me LeCellier MOB, FOB
Friday...We go home :sad2:

I think I did pretty well! Or at least my TA did pretty well...Like I said, I got everything I wanted! I can no complain at all :cheer2:

Has anyone ever gotten their TA a 'gift' of some sort...She has really gone above and beyond for us...She has coordinated everyone's travel, our ADRs, checked on stuff for us...she has just been amazing! Any thoughts?

I'm glad you are happy with your ADR's! Tomorrow is my pretend booking day....I just need a job so I can actually book the resorts and get ADRs!

Perhaps you could get your TA a gift card to somewhere, just to show your appreciation :confused3

Good idea...Last time I worked with her I sent a letter to her boss telling him how wonderful she was...but this time..this woman has gone above and beyond! Dealing with 8 people/4 rooms/multiple bookings, time frames, etc/and keeping it all together with minimum hiccups...She deserves something!:thumbsup2

How wonderful that you got all the ADR that you wanted. I am so impressed with your organization.

Thanks!:

Thank you! I'm very lucky to have a TA that keeps me in line...I still feel a little like I don't have a handle on any of this! :rotfl:

Trust me you have a handle on it. My wedding is in about 3 weeks and I am still ironing out details that you have taken care of months ahead of time. But I guess as long as it all comes together in the end that is what matters, right?

Absolutely!:goodvibes

About the cake flavour, I am adding fresh raspberries to my cake filling and there was a fee for it, I'm pretty sure it's $50.

Your ADRs look great! I wouldn't worry about having Le Cellier for lunch, just think it's most of the same food at lower prices :rotfl:

Thanks for the heads up! :thumbsup2
There are a couple of things that are on the LeCellier dinner menu that are not on the lunch menu...but who knows...maybe if we ask they will make them magically appear! :)

Why not it is Disney isn't it? Anything can happen... I should have a BEO shortly and I'll confirm the upcharge for the raspberries for you.

ok I emailed my planner...the cake is a go. The cake flavors...we are waiting on to see what the cost will be...We (ok DH) wants ONLY (ONLY?!?!) chocolate cake with dark chocolate mousse with fresh rasberries...and he wants to keep the top layer for next year :lovestruc

Our menu...Did I post this already?:confused3
Fillet with a berry demi
parm crusted chicken with limoncello beurre blanc
basil mashed potatos
veggies

I'm still working on pre-reception and dessert party menu. (see post on main board)
I just want something small for pre-reception...but mom is diabetic and I want to make sure she is covered. (pre-reception is the reason she agreed to such a late meal...oh who am I kidding...she wanted me to be happy...but still...requested that something be available)
thoughts?

We are still working on the time line for the day...
I need to talk to Misty..and get a timeline from her as well...oh and the to-do list gets longer! Next week I will accomplish this! (only 176 days to go!)

I think that covers this update...more later if it has not!
