My kids have grown and can now take care of themselves but my wife and I are still in parenting mode. My peeve stems from the fact that I care about the safety of children, even when they are not my own.
Your standing in line and the parent of a toddler are oblivious to the kid climbing the metal railing over a concrete walkway. The kid can be practically walking a tight-rope on the rail and we are freaking out that he/she is going to fall.
Please keep an eye on your own kid's safety so I can relax.

Some people have too much time on their hands..my niece has several nicknames: pudding pants, little momma or momma( and we aren't Hispanic), monkey, baby girl. Although, she's potty training so I don't want to make her feel bad. I don't call her Pudding Pants to her face.
