Pet Peeves

My DH loves to fart in line! He always does and then I get a whiff and I KNOW it's him. I give him the evil eye and he starts laughing hysterically. Crop dusting is his favorite thing to do in line.

Dang, no offense, but that's just plain tacky and rude to other guests.

I guess Disney does make us feel like kids again.

He sounds like a lovely man:scratchin.............NOT!!!!

along the lines of "bodily functions" pet peeves... I do NOT want to see someone changing their kids diaper on a table outside or otherwise. That is the last thing i need to see or smell while I'm eating my lunch. Yuck.

Oh, and a parent letting their kids run their mouths along the handrails... I'm a bit of a germ-o-phobe. Do you know how many other people have snotted or coughed or sat or wiped boogies on that handrail? *shudder*

My pet peeve is when the CMs intentionally get longer lines to build up (to make the ride seem really in-demand?) when they could just get everyone on. Obviously it isn't their fault and they're trained to do it this way but it's needless and pretty annoying.

How juvenile

Wow! Learn something new every day. Which rides does this happen on?

How about parents forcing their very sick kids to go to the parks when they should be home in bed. We had to dodge vomit one time in Epcot due to some very sick 8-10 year old in front of us. He just threw up all over the sidewalk and the parents did nothing about it.

I was fourteen at the time and told I had to be accompanied by an adult. We went online to reserve seats in our allotted time ASAP and still were not able to sit together. Even as a fifteen year old I would not be comfortable sitting alone on an aeroplane next to strangers for 10 hours. I get really nervous about things like this and cannot help it :)

The thing that annoyed me was that it seemed many families were not seated together. I saw many parents concerned and annoyed about it. I suppose it was just badly organized but we did our best and still couldn't get seats together.

It's NOT that we think we are more important than anyone else. It's just that as a fourteen year old I would be scared sitting on my own in an unfamiliar place, and it wasn't just us affected but many other families.

Many airlines now charge for seating. And for those who don't you pick your seats on a first come first served basis. They won't shuffle seats around to put families together, if those seats have already been assigned to someone else. Whoever purchases the tickets needs to pay attention to how many seats are available together. If there is only one seat here and another there, those are the seats you will get.

I think that is the point of the comment...

Hmmm... Pet Peeves in line. Well, for dining at counter service, it's the people who wait in line and only when they get to the front do they seem to realize there is a menu. One should decide what they way and THEN get in line instead of holding everyone behind them up.

In attraction lines it's people who try to squeeze their way through the line, especially since SOME of those lines can get very narrow. I shouldn't have to nearly climb over the railing because you want to get by. Or people who are not paying attention and let a gap the size of a sea form in front of them. I'm just like, do NONE of you see the the gap in space??!!

But they are all pet peeves. I roll my eyes, chuckle to myself, and get on with my life.

Those are mine!:)

The only one I have is people standing so close that you cannot move without them trying to go for a piggy-back ride.

Some of these are pretty audacious! Kids standing on wheelchair arms? I would die of embarrassment if my kids behaved the way people are describing!

But my most peeviest peeve is people who cut in front of me as I'm folding up the stroller to get on the tram at MK.

When I have three kids, one of whom is sleeping in the stroller, and I'm by myself, I can't take the sleeping kid out until the other two are in the tram with all the stuff. But seriously, every. single. time. people try to get in before my kids, even though it's OUR row. Last time a grown woman tried to get on the tram after my kids while I was folding the stroller. Um, no. I'm not going to wait for the next tram while you and my kids take this one. What makes a person think that's ok?

I try to move fast, but give a mom a break! I've resorted to prepping the oldest before the tram comes to run to the door and block it for me. Sad.

I have numerous pet peeves, but two that immediately come to mind are people who feed the birds (despite numerous signs saying not to) and parents who think its cute to watch their kids chase terrified ducks. That makes me kind of sad to see.

I don't think so Tim!!!:sad2:

I'm afraid that you didn't learn anything other than to ignore the rantings of paranoid people. If anyone can tell me ONE, just one good reason why this would be beneficial to anyone, Guests, CM's or Disney then I will consider it possible. I doubt anyone will be able to convince me though!

1 - most people are probably oblivious to what you are doing. a lot people dawdle around in major walkways/areas, you are probably seen in the same way.

2 - there is no such thing as "your row" - sorry, but it is first come, first serve. I dont think anybody should/would intentionally try to separate you from your kids, but seriously, come on.....

Everybody has the right to go to Disney with whatever group of people they want to, but if taking 3 little kids with you causes issues with transportation, this should be a lesson to you to be better prepared or take somebody else with you who can help you juggle the issues that cause problems with your vacation.

Sorry. My sarcastic response to OKWfan was so subtle, it went right over his head, and yours, too. :duck:
No need to shout. I'm not deaf!
