"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

We're coming Labor Day weekend for the Badger vs. UNLV game. Currently we have reservations at the MGM, but that may change if we can find a better deal. No cars, we'll be reliant on the 3 day monorail pass, busses and cabs. We are currently a party of 6, hopefully we will be 10. Waiting for flight prices to come down right now  I can't find anything less that $400 for decent flight times. Ugh!

Ok so you really have an iffy chance with the weather but it should be under 100 (maybe not much but every bit helps). The MGM is great for getting to UNLV/Thomas and Mack, it's right up the street so that will be easy just going to be a lot of traffic but that is normal for a game and you will be quite close to the airport. The busses up and down the Strip are pretty good and the monorail does a good run, though I have never been on either of these in person I have heard from friends.

We went to the game in 2007 and my bff's bachelorette party was in August 2005, so I *think* I will be prepared for the heat. But thats what I said the past two times  It should be a good time! I like the monorail better than the busses, its a little faster(and less vomity, urine smelling)... but hey, if you are interested in a DIS meet, let me know!!!

Great update! I love trying to go to places I saw on the Food Network. We have a few in our area and they are all they're cracked up to be :)

On another note, we were doing yard work tonight and ended up having a late dinner, so I made your chicken salad (the one with grapes) and we put it on sub rolls and had some chips and fruit with it. SOOOO YUMMY!! It would have been better cold, but we didn't have time to chill it first.

A note to others, the store rotisserie chickens are fairly salty (at least ours are.) I didn't realize and added S&P and then it was way too salty, so you may want to either not add salt, or just add a tiny bit. My DH thought it was fine, but he LOVES salt, I hate it (where's that blech smiley with the tears coming out of his head??)

Aaaah! There is 3 arms on the one on the left!

Looks like a fun breakfast stop! Can't wait to hear what you ate!
I'm glad you didn't take Mr. Toothless along with you.....

woooow, that place sounds awesome! And your plan of stopping to eat at unique places is a GREAt idea for road trips! I need to keep that in mind the next time I take one!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the cafe breakfast!!

We watch way too much Food Network in our house. With hd food tv on a flat screen, it's no wonder I'm hungry ALL THE TIME!

I love me some Guy Fieri! We keep threatening to try some of the Triple D's here in Texas. There were a few in Austin.

Bobby Flay has had a few throw downs here in Austin, too.

All this food trying is gonna defeat my dieting!!

Oh well! :rotfl:

Where's the next chapter already!? :rolleyes1 I mean it's not like you're already on page 411 or something like that.

:lmao:

Wow, this TR is hard to keep up with! It moves so quick!

That restaurant looks amazing! I can't wait to hear about the food.

That cafe looks great! I can't wait to hear about your meal. Triple D has come to a couple of places around my hometown here in SC...Guy Fieri rocks!

And sleeping in the booger in a parking lot, that is hard core Dawn. Rock on!:cool1:

Baaaaaahahahaha!!! Living around here I have seen that sign so many times on the way to the Dells! And I may have ummm, attended... that bar... once... back in my younger days... :rolleyes1 But this is a family show!! So on with the story! :wizard:

Ummm..I just realized after re-reading the last update I forgot to download 3 pics from my phone...so the storyline did not flow for a bit in the middle! It has been fixed now.

Note to self: Do not stop what you are doing and assume you will remember to go back!

I have lived only an hour away from Louisville my entire life and have never heard of that place!! It looks so cool, I may have to try it soon. Can't wait to see what you ate!

Great update. You are too funny. You write so well I can actually visualize everything! Love the part where you and Carsyn are laughing trying to find the bathroom. Those are the moments that make a trip so memorable!

oh man I really thought that you saw hillary! You fooled me. She watched the Super Bowl two years ago at Dixies on Grand during the campaign and we always see her picture in the front entrance, love that place.

I laugh so much as I am reading that everyone at work asks what is so funny-so, when I am trying to tell them and laughing as I do, I don't think they get it. They just kind of smile and think I am crazy. Does that ever happen to anyone else? Maybe something is lost in the interpretation-I laugh everytime I think about some stories!:rotfl::rotfl:
So you did not really see Hillary?

your updates always make we laugh. have you ever posted a picture of your green booger? what kind of van is it?

Yeah, that happens to me too. Especially when I'm trying to retell a joke, but I'm already laughing at the punch line and my joke doesn't get out!:rotfl2:
