personalized photo throws

Hi, I am thinking about getting my mother in law a photo throw of my kids. Has anyone ever seen/bought a photo throw? Are they worth the money? We have a sadies protrait studio near us and they make them but they are really expensive. I have seen some other companies online that make them a little cheaper. For the online companies I would have to mail in a photo that I have taken. If I get it done at Sadies they use a photo they take. Any tips/info would be greatly appreciated!Thanks

I used to get the Personal Creations catalog. I know they do them, I'm pretty sure you just have to upload the photo online though, don't have to send it snail mail. They look great in the catalog, but I've never actually had 1 of those done.

I had one done last year for my in laws. It was a portrait of her children that was done a few years earlier. It came out beautiful, looked just like the picture. I thought it was a nice idea since her youngest son had past away and she would be able to have him close to her. I have yet to see it out in the house.

But to answer your question, it looked great. I would buy one again.

We used personal creations as well.. It turned out WONDERFULLY! My sister and I got together and took a picture of all of our kids together... We did it for my mom for our first Christmas after my dad passed away. Needless to say.. there were lots of tears! But she just loves it. I think it cost me $75.? Worth every penny.

OP thanks for this thread! I have actually been thinking of doing something like this for my mom. In Dec my two brothers will be home for the holidays and I was hoping to get all us kids together and get our picture done...this was something my sister suggested to do. My mom made a comment not long ago that she wished she had a picture of all of us now that we were older.
