Personalized bricks at Polynesian

Please forgive me for not reading all 54 pages...
Can someone give me a brief rundown of if the bricks are still for sale or not, and if so what number do I contact...or direct me to the page and or post number I should look up?

Back a few weeks ago when everyone was faxing their orders in, we didn't get ours in. Then I saw here that they stopped taking orders, so I never bothered. Now I'm wondering if I should take a chance and fax it anyway. Has anyone done this in the last couple of weeks with success? Thanks.

My charge on my credit card was temporary ~May 30th, posted ~May 31st, and I got the email June 7th. I keep checking the mail box, but still waiting! I hope they all come soon!

Nothing here - though I won't be able to check the mail until I'm home from work later today. We haven't even received an email - just the cc charge on June 1st, but still hoping.

Yeah, I did. Not good. After receiving an email from Dean with my location, I got a letter today with the hard copy of the fax I sent (I mailed it also) saying the program has been closed for some time now. I have paid off my creIdit card. I'm really confused now and I am going to contact Dean.

I was all excited when I saw the envelope.......

I'm almost afraid to jump in here. I faxed my information in WAY after all of you and I received an email that I was getting a brick.
I didn't find out about the bricks from this thread though, there is another one out on the Dis too. I wish that Disney would just come clean with exactly what happened because it doesn't seem as though there was an official cut off date, and no rhyme or reason as to who got a brick and who didn't.

How is it they still don't know what in earth they are doing here. I have had it up to here with all the nonsense.

Seriously how totally crazy is this that NO ONE can tell what is going on. Yes you get bricks, oops no you don't, well ok maybe some of you, but the rest of you too bad, ok maybe later we will let one or two slip through.

I am kind of irritated.

Trying to remain optimistic here, perhaps the letter was a response to your mailed hardcopy, and the email you earlier received was in response to your faxed version of the letter? ? ?

I think that's a pretty reasonable explanation. I just got my mail, and no letter, after having received the email on the 6th.

I doubt they would check your mailed in application against all the faxed applications to make sure it was a duplicate. The mailed one probably came so late they denied it. Unless it was the actual app you faxed in that you got a copy back of?

I got my letter of disappointment today as well. Once again, the explanation was not even close to what I was told it would say. I kind of figured that is what it was as when I received the certificate for the brick I purchased in 1998, it came in a large cardboard envelope. This entire fiasco really stinks! I'm through with Walk Around The World. After all the screw ups I have experienced with them over the past 2 years, I'm convinced they have no clue as to what that department is doing. Congratulations to all that got one. Pray they never lose your brick.

Well, I am now home and in the mail was an envelope from Magic Kingdom Park. Inside was the letter of doom, dated 6/8/07, and my faxed application was attached.

However, it was my second faxed application (from June 4th), not the first. When I was unable to verify that the first charge had been made, I faxed another application with different credit card information. Of course, later in the day the first charge showed up on the first card. I immediately sent a follow-up fax canceling the second application/credit card info - which they evidently didn't match up to that fax.

Since 1] the original card was charged, 2] the original application wasn't returned, and 3] the charge has not been reversed as of a few minutes ago, I'm still struggling to remain optimistic about this whole thing. I must admit there have been some low moments, but until I have the first app returned, I will continue smiling (okay; gritting my teeth makes it look like I'm smiling).

I recieved my dreaded letter today. It did not offer any explanation at all. It only said that they are no longer selling bicks and occassionally they offer replacement bticks to those who already have them. It was dated June 8th
