Personalized bricks at Polynesian

Do you mind sharing the email address? Maybe if I email a request for an application, I'll hear from them quicker.

Can you tell I'm really, REALLY, anxious?!? :)

It was from a personal e-mail address, not a generic one for the program. As an IT person, I wouldn't want to unleash the DIS horde on this poor unsuspecting person ;) ...just call the number and leave a message including your e-mail address and they should get back to you.

I replied, asking why everything is still saying the program closed...they say the program is still "closed", they just want to fill in the blanks. So it is unlikely that the program will be widely advertised or anything like that.
 
I also talked to Denise, very pleasant CM. She did say Roger is the quick talking CM, LOL. She is sending me an email also. I did share with her and give her the www.disboards.com url along with the fact this is on the resort forum and title of thread. I said they are famous and she got a kick out of that. Who knows, maybe they will drop by. :)

Wow, that was fast, just hung up the phone, posted this and I have Denise's email already.
 

I received the email Friday morning from Dean, faxed it Friday afternoon, and as of Saturday morning there was a pending charge on my credit card! Woo hoo! :banana: :banana: :banana:
 
I am so psyched... I just called and left my info! My parents and I have one form when I we used to go as a family, the three of us, and now I would like to get one for my husband and daughter and me. YAY! Thanks everyone for sharing the info!!

We also purchased ours in 1994...glad we did now :)

At the time, I actually requested that we NOT be in a high traffic area like in front of the MK or the TTC (if you see the state of many of those bricks, you can understand why...barely legible now).

The CM told me we couldn't request a specific location but he would see what he could do about putting ours in the next allotment rather than the ones that were being laid in the next group because they were going infront of the MK.

We ended up getting ours directly in front of the MK monorail station on the little path between the MK and GF and it's near the edge so it doesn't get much wear.

At that time, it was taking approx. 2 to 3 months from the time you placed your order to the time your brick was laid.

We also bought our friends a brick for their wedding since they were big Disney fans...they have since split up :rolleyes: and now I wish they weren't taking up space where someone else could have a brick.

Here's a little hint: We always give our brick a gentle cleaning when we're in WDW and take a little vial of black enamel paint or shiny black nail polish with us to fill in any worn letters on the brick and it seems to last quite well (it looks similar to whatever they used in the first place to fill in the letters on the bricks).

Good luck to everyone who is trying to order a brick. I know the price seems like a lot of money, but we never regretted purchasing one. Everytime we leave WDW after a vacation, we feel like a little part of us is still always there, in our happy place :) :) :) :)
 
OMG! I hope I can get an application! I just called & got the voicemail stating they are no longer doing the path stones. I did ask for an application for a brick for Walk Around the World & left my email address & my phone number.....fingers crossed!! Thanks for letting us know! What a great surprise this would be!!
 
Craig - what a great idea - black nail polish! Ours is right in front of the MK and last time we visited, it looked really bad. Has any CM ever questioned you while you were "painting" your brick?
 
I left a message last night and gt a call from Denise today. She is emailing me an application. I told her I had heard it from the Disboards too! She said that the program is still "closed" but that they are going to fill in the blank bricks. Can't wait to get the app! I also got my maps today from Disney after being in the car for six hours getting back from my nephew's graduation so it has been a good day!!:thumbsup2
 
No...no one has ever questioned us painting the letters on our brick. We haven't had to do it every time...I would say we've "touched it up" twice since it was installed in 94, so it lasts very long.

I have actually seen others doing it too.


I'm sure if you started painting flowers and hearts on it or painted the whole brick neon pink, they would not only question you, but probably remove your brick from the path :laughing: We actually had a CM walk up to see what we were doing the second time we touched up our brick and he said "Hey...that's a good idea!" :goodvibes

I would totally pay the $100 to have our brick replaced if anything happened to it :)

I left a message last night, but haven't heard anything nor received an email...did you just keep trying the number until you got someone rather than the voicemail? Wonder if I should try calling today??
 
I also got a phone call. She said it would be mailed sometime today but couldn't tell me when as they are quite busy at the parks right now.

I only called once and got right through. I waited until this morning as I *knew* that no one would answer the phone yesterday.
 
Spoke with Denise this morning, just received my application via email!

SO EXCITED! I know what I want the brick to say, just need to decide what icon . . .
