Should/Can we bring our own supply of water bottles on the ship?

You can...I'm not sure if you are talking about bringing a case of bottled water or if you are talking about bringing something to carry a drink in.

The ship's water is very good...I don't feel the need for bottled water. On excursions, it is helpful to carry something to drink. On deck 9, drinks (water, milk, lemonade, fruit punch, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, iced tea) are available all the time.

we usually bring a 12pk of water to start out with and then we refill them on deck 9 each day . works out great for us.:sunny:

We brought 4 bottles of Poland Springs water with us, once they were empty, I just kept refilling the bottles with the water from Deck 9.... they do close at 11:30 p.m and open back up at 6:30 a.m., so just make sure if you want some water for the night to go before they close. I kept them in the beverage cooler (their version of a refrigerator) and they were quite cold.

They have lemonade, iced tea, hot tea, coffee and hot chocolate there also. We bought 2 mugs at Mickey's Mate for $4.50 each and used them for hot tea and/or iced tea and/or lemonade... they do have a ready supply of styrofoam cups & lids there if you forget your mug.

Where does the water on Deck 9 originate? We are concerned about our kids health.

The water at the beverage stations is purified and is perfectly safe. I am very picky about how water tastes and the Deck 9 water is just great.

We also bring and refill bottles...very convenient. I'm a picky water person, too, and I have no problem with the ship's water. I also like to whip up iced tea at the beverage station with the mint or black current tea. The iced tea served in the dining rooms comes out of a tap (ugh!), and I only like the real stuff.

It costs $$ to fillup at the beverage station doesn't it? Do they charge if you are just filling up with plain ol' water?

Nope, no charge, you can just walk up and fill your bottles/cups, whatever up as many times as you want.. There is a charge for BOTTLED water, they sell it as you are leaving the ship for excursions... and I think if you order bottled water in the dining rooms, they charge your account for it. We just asked for regular ice water at dinner and our assistant server kept our glasses full.

The ship makes fresh water from seawater daily. I drink bottled water at home instead of our tap (too much chlorine) and I found the water at deck 9 station good enough to drink. BUying bottled water on the ship adds up. Like others said, bring a few bottles with you and refill them. You should bring water with you on the excursions.

the cups at the beverage station are WAY small. I took a gatorade bottle just to have a bigger "glass". I also took my own traveling coffee mug thing so I could have more than just that little cup. Worked out great!!!
