I know you can get a persona cake delievered to your table.I wanted to know if you had to order this in advance.

It is mentioned here on the Disneyland website:

"Celebrate your birthday with a meal at a full-service restaurant in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park or the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and add to the fun with a Disney Princess Jewelry Box or Disney Pirate Treasure Chest! Each comes with a special surprise and an individual cake! The Princess Jewelry Box and the Disney Pirate Treasure Chest are available at full-service restaurants, Character dining locations, and through Disney Hotel Room Service.

Price: $15 each, plus tax. "

On that same page you will see the number in many places to order the cake. Yes, you want to do so ahead of time. :goodvibes

What kind of cakes can you order??? Are they aimed at younger children? My daughter will be 13. Is that too old? Is there something else birthday related that I could do?

The Princess and Pirate Chest cakes can be ordered to the table with only 24 hours notice if I remember right. They feed only the birthday child realistically. There are also regular cakes you can order from Disney Dining that can feed 6-20 people. There is a cake thread here somewhere. Here are a few cakes we have ordered:

I guess that the first 2 cakes are regular sized and the last one is personal?:confused3 I am traveling with a group of four, so you think that the bigger cake is better? Just making sure ta we are on the same page!

The top 2 cakes are 10" cakes, and serve about 15-20. The bottom cake was a 6", and served about 6.

Here are the individual cakes:

Realistically, if you are willing to spend enough money, they will make just about anything. I looked into getting a Sweet Potato birthday cake (like the one they sell at Tangaroa terrace) for my brother before I found out he didn't like Sweet Potatoes and they would do it for about $30.
