I guess since you did not read through the whole tread you may have missed my post on page 7 of this thread.
I will repete it.......
Just an FYI:
All of the canidates have made gaffes at one time or another.
Even McCain.
Here are just a couple of his:
Sen. John McCainsaid Iraq when he apparently meant Afghanistan, adding to a string of mixed-up word choices that is giving ammunition to the opposition.
McCain has also mistaken "Somalia" for "Sudan," and even footballs Green Bay Packers for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
----------------------------------------
I tend to blame a lot of these gaffes on jet lag.
Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the repeat.
SO when Mr Biden said the Illinois senator was not yet ready to be president and that "the presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training", that was due to jet lag?
Last May, BO claimed that tornadoes in Kansas killed a whopping 10,000 people In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died an entire town destroyed. The actual death toll: 12.
There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Ala., because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born.
Then, theres the copy of Life magazine that Obama presents as his racial awakening at age 9. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs dont exist, say the magazines own historians.
And in perhaps the most seriously troubling set of gaffes of them all, Obama told a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesnt pose a serious threat to us cluelessly arguing that tiny countries with small defense budgets cant do us harm and then promptly flip-flopped the next day, claiming, Ive made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.
Obama Says The U.S. Senate Banking Committee Is "My Committee." Obama: "Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill
" (Obama Press Conference, Sderot, Israel, July 23, 2008)
Obama Is Not A Member Of The U.S. Senate Committee On Banking, Housing, And Urban Affairs. (U.S. Senate Committee On Banking, Housing, And Urban Affairs Website, banking.senate.gov, Accessed 7/23/08)
"I think that DOMA, the Defense
Against Marriage Act, was, was a (sic) unnecessary imposition on what had been the traditional rules governing marriage and how states interact on the issues of marriage." Barack Obama, referring to the Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA), 7/1/08
Are these all due to jet lag? It reminds me of Huey Long, the infamous Louisiana politician ( with socialist leanings, BTW). He would cross the state, speak with a Cajun accent in the Southern part of the state, and then switch to an accent with a twang in the Northern part of the state. He tried to be all things to all people and would twist the truth.
