Perks!!!???

I'm new to all of this - there are member benefits spelled out in the literature, but I'm hearing about other things on this forum, i.e., free parking at parks, etc. I was also told at the Disney Store the other day that we get a 10% if we show our DVC ID. Can anyone spell out the perks that are not listed in the member lit.? Thanks a million!!!

Hi neighbor,
We get discounts on meals at WDW. 10% off at Disney Stores, 10% off UMP passes, and numerous others that change from time to time. If you are a member, the members only WEB site has an updated list of these perks.

Where do you get the food discounts? I wasn't aware of this.

Food discounts change often, and are detailed on hand out sheets when you check in at a DVC resort at WDW.

Whenever I paid for anything on our last trip, I would pull out my DVC card, Magic Kingdom Card (ah, the good old days), and my resort key/pass/card and AAA and just ask the CM to pick the one that gives the best discount -- if any.

Just about every time, the MKC was the best deal -- alas, no longer.

But for the short-term restaurant discounts (announced in the fliers that we received at check-in), the DVC card or maybe it was the resort card or both was the winning pick.
