Perks for Disneymooners?

I've read several accounts of Disneymooners receiving special service from CMs, such as room upgrades, free snacks or merchandise, special attention from characters - just for being on their honeymoon! Wow! Are these common occurences? Should a Disneymooner expect perks like these? Should I get my hopes up? Do brides and grooms (especially those wearing the special ears) really receive extra attention, upgrades etc? Can anyone share their Disneymoon perks?

Most people that have posted have recommended that you go to the parks not expecting anything and that upgrades don't necessarily happen for everyone. I would just make sure you wear the ears at all times. I have 2 sets of matching shirts (one set we are wearing on the plane when we arrive, the second set, I dunno) and I have all these wedding Disney pins that I am going to wear on a lanyard.

We got an upgraded room at the Yacht Club, but we alos had our wedding there.
I wore the ears and had one CM say congratulations and that was it, so I would say not to get your hopes up, sometimes it may happen and sometimes not. I have heard many a person on here say they got nothing at all, while some got lots fo freebies etc.

As said above. You may get treatment or not. But wear them anyways. It's half the fun.
