Perhaps he's too young to be afraid of clowns!

We spent the morning at a Children's Festival and Ronald McDonald was walking around the grounds. A lot of youngsters would not go anywhere near Ronald and some cried when they saw him. I posted the following pictures on Facebook and DD19 (Carter's Auntie) commented "Terrifying!" :lmao:

Our grandson walked right up to Ronald McDonald and was very nonchalant about the whole experience.:rotfl:

"I wonder if this clown can really play this thing."

"Okay, I'll listen while you play me a song."

"I'm a bit disappointed in your performance, Ronald."

"Sorry clown, but you must go to time-out, now."

Carter really did enjoy spending time with Ronald, even though he looks less than impressed in these pictures.:)

he's a cutie!! i was one of those kids unfazed by anything. my mom always says, you were not a crybaby like other kids. you'd knock them out of the way to see whoever it was. LOL i'm still like that!

i'm still not sure of my son. he cried at santa. smiled wide for the easter bunny. he was ok with characters at WDW. we go to hornets (NBA games) and sometimes he's cool with hugo the mascot, other times he gives me the wth face.

i guess embrace that he's not afraid! :D

I would probably be sprinting away from Ronald-- there's a commercial that was on a couple of months ago that had a mean-looking Ronald lookalike. I think it was a car commercial, but I'm not sure, because every time it was on, I'd have to flick the channel!!

Awwww... Those are great pics and your grandson is so cute.

DS always loved Ronald McDonald but was never afraid of clowns. I never was either so we had fun.

:rotfl: Sounds like our grandson! He went on his first trip to WDW a few months ago and he absolutely adored all the characters. We had a hard time holding him back and waiting his turn in line.

We took him to see the Easter Bunny last month and Carter walked right up to him. He sat in his lap and held a conversation (well, the bunny talked and Carter listened :)), but the funniest part was when we were standing around waiting for Carter's photos to print. The bunny got up from his chair and started to walk around. Well, Carter went right over to him, took his paw and led him back to his chair. It was the cutest thing to see this little toddler taking this huge bunny by the paw and leading him back to his chair. It was like, "I don't think so, Bunny. You're not leaving just yet.":rotfl2:

Your grandson is adoarable but Ronald McDonald is CREEPY!! lol

Not only was his bright red hair and unnaturally white face a bit scary, he also had a very deep voice that was a bit intimidating!:scared1: When I first saw Ronald, my first thought was that he just might scare Carter (unintentionally of course) but Carter pointed to him and headed right over.

I know there are a lot of people terrified of clowns. Perhaps I should put a disclaimer in the title thread:Clown pictures-Open with caution.:lmao:

I noticed this morning that my older daughter (Carter's mom) posted the second photo from above on her facebook with the caption: "What else you got, clown." :rotfl:
