Perennial-Platycodon

Platycodon-Also called balloon flower. These are a tall 2-3 foot perennial. That develope small flower buds, as the buds grow larger they look like small helium balloons, that air is being pumped into. As the balloon bud grows it changes from green to a delicate blue, a porcelain white or a lovely pink.

Balloon flowers like a rich, well-drained soil. Grow in sun or semi-shade.

I don't have any of these but have always admired them...it just says 'simple" to me...and I like simple.

They are very pretty! I especially like the blue ones. Now I just have to figure out where to plant some.....hmmmm.
