Geranium-These hardy perennials, sometimes called Cranesbills, which should not be confused with the "Annual Geranium" are wonderful garden plants. They quickly form large clumps of flowers. They come in shades of pink, mauves, whites, blues and purples. I have 2 plants. A magenta and a blue.

I know Snowwark has talked about her Blue Cranesbill in the past and it's always been with love.

Geranium grow in heights of 6 to 48 inches. They like ordinary soil, rich in humus. They grow best in sun to seim-shade.

I have annual geraniums that I purchased two years ago and can you believe they are still alive!!!!! Yes, they were annuals!!! I bring them in in the winter and put them near the lamps in my family room and I get blooms all winter!!!!

I bought two perennials this year so we'll see how well they do this winter...I can't wait!

You're right Mamu, I do love these beautiful, airy, flowers, and that blue......magnificent! :)

I miss them this year, but I haven't given up, there's always next season! :)

I'm learning more and more with each passing day from this board. Thank you Mamu for all this wonderful information. I don't always post on these informational threads but I definitely check them out.

I have several of these plants in my patio garden. The blue is rich and vibrant - and the blooms seem to just float above the lacey foilage.

:)
