Pepper Market question?

Is the pepper market included in the quick service dining plan? Heard they have a buffet?? Is this included and how is it?

Yes, the buffet (breakfast and lunch, dinner is not currently buffet) is included for one quick service credit per person.

I always loved the Pepper Market for a change from the park foods. If the food is the same and just a buffet we will need to try this someday when we have a trip again.

We just stayed at CSR, and loved it, but only ate the breakfast buffet as we were out and about during lunch. I did see the sign about the buffet and it said they had fajitas, pasta, pizza (that is all I can remember) and it started at 11:30. The breakfast buffet was very nice--omelets made to order, eggs, meats, pastries, fruit, pancakes, waffles, etc. The setup was very nice--various food station areas rather than one long line. The server brought your drinks.

Hopefully someone can give a more complete picture of the lunch buffet...maybe you should try looking under the restaurant review area??

First time poster after lurking for quite a long time. We check-in to CSR on 3/29 and have a question. This is our first stay at CSR. Our normal routine at other resorts was for me and my DD to head to the quick service restaurant and pick up food for my DW and DS and bring back to the room to eat as we got ready for the park. It is my understanding that we won't be able to do this at PM as it is a buffet. Can anyone confirm? If so that would be a major change to our routine. We might be able to hit the buffet a couple times during our stay, but this means we may not get a hot breakfast before hitting the parks. The only other option that I see for a hot breakfast back in the room would then be the room service. Does anyone know whether the DDP can be used for room service, and if so, how many and what type of credits would it take? Thanks for the help!!

We stayed at CSR in January. AT that time the PM had the buffet for breakfast and lunch and dinner was a per item charge. We ate there once for each meal. We were told the trial period was over and it looked to stay a buffet and they were looking to add dinner as a buffet in the future, It is indeed a CS credit.

We did enjoy all three meals. Breakfast was your typical foods, An omelet station, mickey waffles, carved ham, a very nice fruit bar among other items. OJ. coffee soft drinks etc.
Lunch offered a huge variety of foods. At that time most of the stations were maned and they were constantly refilling but I have heard that most stations are no longer maned. They have a huge variety of desserts including in ice cream station.
These meals are JUST eat in buffet. No foods can be taken out.
Dinner still has the same stations, you just buy what you want for eat in or you can take it out. The portions were large and food yummy.

We found a huge variation in the wait staff. We had from the most amazing CM to barely friendly but over all it was fine and we would stay at CRS (which we love anyway) to have this food option.

Other CS selections are very limited. There is a VERY small CS where you fill your mugs and they have a very limited hot sandwich type breakfast and lunch as well as a nice selection of cold sandwiches, salads and fruit type thing. I know they do have a limited room service but it looked really expensive and while I think it may be covered on the Deluxe dinning plan, I do not think it is on the regular one.

Hope you find something in here you can use.

You can get food packed to go at Cafe Rix...they had pastries, hot breakfast sandwiches, etc. You should Also be aware that CSR is a very spread out resort...to get to the restaurants from the far pArts of the resort you may have a 10-15 minute walk..

We ate at PM for the first time during our last trip in May and loved it! I like the fact that it is buffet now, and I can try a little bit of everything. I'm looking forward to going there again this May!

You're in luck, I just posted my review (complete with pictures) of our Lunch Buffet at the Pepper Market back in February. The link to the review is in my signature.

I don't know that I'd go majorly out of my way to eat there unless you didn't want to eat lunch at any restaurant in the park you're spending the day at, Hollywood Studios comes to mind for that since its close. Also if you were at the Animal Kingdom and didn't like their lunch offerings then it would be reasonably close to catch a resort bus there and back. If you've got teenagers who eat a lot and you want to fill them up cheaply then its also worth a try. The food was good, but not schlep across 3 bus transfers good. Now if you'd done early morning EMH somewhere and were heading somewhere else for the evening (DTD, etc) then it might be worth the detour. I would however definately eat there if I was staying at CSR.

I guess what I'm saying is its good, but its not Boma-good.

I'd do it under those circumstances. Pretty short travel time from each park to the resort if you catch the bus right. Lunch is served from 11:30 - I believe its 2pm.

It was not added in for us either meal we did the buffet. One meal we tipped more than the 18% and one less. We are very much "tip on service" people. We did the dinner also and tried to charge the tip back to our KTTW card and we not were able to do so. We used a CS credit every time we ate there.

I ate at Pepper Market recently during lunch - they were still having the buffet for breakfast and lunch. I thought it was really good value - and the food was good - better than most counter service options IMO. It stills counts as a CS credit on the dining plan but I charged it to my room and added the tip in as well. It is not added automatically but you are given a bill like for other table service restaurants which lists what the tip would be at 15% and 18%. It "feels" like a table service/counter service hybrid. If I stayed at CSR I might look into the Quick Service meal plan as a good option - would really get a lot for your money that way!

OK, that is good news about the tip. When we stayed there several years ago, you had to pay a tip (can't remember how much) no matter how the service was. Only if you got your food to go did they not charge a tip.
